Another hand drawn picture in the little 4x6” sketchbook. Dale Earnhardt’s #2 Wrangler Pontiac. Drawn with pencil, pens, sharpies, gel pens, and prismacolor colored pencils and markers. It’s a bit rough and far from perfect, but some fun little drawing practice!

I thought I'd give a @KyleLarsonRacin @TeamHendrick @HendrickCars concept a try for 2027 with neon yellow numbers. Always liked the deep metallic blue they used to use, but instead of a black base, I tried a white one to keep a little similar color style to their current scheme.

Really awesome to see a diecast made of the paint scheme!

Made a small sketch this evening of the car that my uncle Wayne Fox used to drive for my dad. This #17 Dodge Dart raced during the transition from stock bodied cars into the wedge era.

Made a new design of my brother's old street stock car. Been wanting to make this one for a little while. I love making some of my family's old cars to practice some vintage styles.

I started thinking last night, what if I was tasked with doing a redesign of DEI's racecars back in the early 2000's, evolving from their 2003 "E" style. The cars having nearly identical bases and having the E stripes on the door. Here's what I came up with.

Transferred everything over to the superspeedway body (with some edits) of the @SkyFoxDesigns Gen 4 car.

I thought this was a great suggestion for my next drawing, so I gave it a try! I don't believe I have ever drawn an Alan Kulwicki car. Most people think of his Hooters car, maybe the Zerex cars, but I always liked the Quincy's cars! I took about 2 hours today drawing this one.

Fun fact about a couple of the cars in the designs, they were actually hand drawn on paper. I did it sort of inverted, everything I wanted white was colored in black/green. I would scan them and do an image trace on them to get even more of a slightly imperfect look.
