IndiGo Delhi–Chennai flight diverted after overhead bin fire IndiGo flight 6E6115 (Airbus A321neo, VT-NOE) from Delhi to Chennai was diverted to Hyderabad on 11 October 2026 after a passenger’s electronic device ( reported as a power bank ) caught fire in an overhead bin. Passengers recorded the moment: an orange glow and smoke filled part of the cabin, people stood up, and several shouted “Fire!” while trying to contain the flames with bags and clothing. Airbus A330-343 9M-XXE was step-climbing from FL380 to FL400 when a fan blade on the left Rolls-Royce Trent 700 broke away from fatigue. About three-quarters of the blade was missing. 💥 The imbalance sent violent vibration through the airframe. Crew shut the engine down, but it kept windmilling, so the shaking continued all the way back. 🙏 Passengers say the captain asked them to pray and brace for landing. 🔴 BREAKING: Dramatic footage from Wales. An RAF Hawk T2 training jet crashed shortly after takeoff from RAF Valley on Anglesey this afternoon. Both pilots ejected.
