Exciting that we are now listed on Amateurorchestras.org.uk hope we see a few new players particularly in the strings and brass now!
Our first rehearsal of the year flowing well despite a conductor absence! Great to see everyone enjoying making music together.
This fine tomorrow will be in full flow for our autumn concert. Do join us for #free
Last night we had a great rehearsal with our soloist for the Neruda trumpet concerto. Great to work with an ex skinners’ student particularly when he plays to such a high standard! Come and hear for yourselves on 24th November at 4.00pm
Our community orchestra runs from 7.00pm in Byng Hall tomorrow (Tuesday) night. New members very welcome. (Bonus prize to anyone that can name the piece from this screen shot!)
What a wonderful evening we had for our dinner concert. Thank you to all the audience who came to support us and special congratulations to our soloist Noah.
Last night was the last rehearsal before the day of our Community Orchestra summer concert. What a big sound it was. We hope lots of you are coming to join us on the 2nd!
New members very welcome. Get in contact to be involved. This concert we’ll be working on Beethoven, Mozart and Wagner, (and that’s just to start with!)
What a great concert. Fantastic playing from our soloist Will and a fantastic audience to support us all. Thank you to everyone that came.
A great rehearsal with our soloist Will from @thejuddschool tonight. Don’t miss our concert on Sunday 4pm for #free
We may have been quiet on here, but we have been busy. Do come and join us for an afternoon of classics for #free with a retiring collection to fund instrumental lessons for struggling families.
