Skill Issue deck guides 📖 September 2026 Update:
Free guides dwindling compared to the past 😭 but many thanks to those still contributing! How else will I know how to play this game 😵💫

@fireshoes
I've created a spreadsheet compiling any free written MTG primers/guides/sideboard guides that I come across. I love the sharing of knowledge that happens in this community and want to do my part!

🤡🤡🤡 @wizards_magic ok I've finally got them, reprint the mox opals for everyone else now please 🤡🤡🤡

Just had my copy of Next Level Magic Forever arrive from the US from @toamagic since I missed the kickstarter. Thanks @thepchapin for making this, and thanks to all who contributed as well. Having a physical magic book is very cool, maybe I'll finally be good at this game now 🤓
I've assembled one of four Mox Opals in a display of irresponsible consumerism.
Wizards is waiting for me to get four copies before reprinting them, giving them out as promos, and including them in precons - I'm doing this for all of you out there!!! 💎 💎 💎

Skill Issue deck guides 📖 August 2026 Update:
Not many free guides this month, but there were a ton of paid guides! Apologies for not updating much - I failed my countrypeople at the Brisbane RC 😭 although I'm sure none of you needed guides anyway haha

Fun fact:
Wood elves is a great choice for a promo because by scryfall's tcgplayer pricing, it is $0.19 - which is actually TRIPLE the price of the lowest card: pinecone strike at $0.06. If I attend 1000 standard showdowns, I might be able to sell them for a single standard deck!
At the #MTGxTheHobbit Standard Showdown, ready your cards to face off in epic battles for glory at your LGS! Claim ultimate victory to earn the exclusive Wood Elves promo card🧝♂️⚔️ mtg.social/W2P-HOB
Me still really enjoying playing Magic despite local events struggling to fire and seeing everyone have so much fun with Riftbound and so many high profile magic players try it out or move over completely
Skill Issue deck guides 📖 July 2026 Update:
Mostly Modern with the PT/RCs. Nice google doc writeups from @broers__ and @Nick_Csgrv, and an update to one of the best primers I've seen from the Necro discord and @EuleB_. Some cool PT team paid guides too!

guys literally only want one thing and it's fucking disgusting
I'm a sucker for weapons manufacturing in standard, and am really enjoying this list by CuteChandra19!! I don't see you on socials, but your lists bring much joy - there's no better feeling than casting pinnacle starcage for lethal. Went 4-1 in a little arena run!
