Is Seyi Vibez truly a bad omen to Afrobeats? 😭💔 Seyi Vibez blew up around December 2022/2023, and since then, it feels like the global dominance of Nigerian music hasn’t been the same. 💔 Wizkid used to sell out different venues and stadiums internationally, but now people are questioning his ticket sales. Burna Boy used to shut down major venues, but lately, people have been talking about his ticket sales too. Davido used to tour internationally, but now it feels like he’s focusing more on Nigeria. Nigerian artists used to make waves on the Billboard Hot 100, but that presence seems to have slowed down. Rema used to be everywhere on the charts, Fireboy DML was doing numbers, and Omah Lay had a reputation for delivering quality projects. Now, fans are questioning the direction of the industry. Before Seyi Vibez blew up, artists like Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Asake and Zinoleesky were dominating conversations about the global face of Afrobeats. Today, Asake seems to be one of the few still maintaining that same energy. 🔥 Spotify never deduct any Nigerians artists stream before but it started when he blow up 💔 Even Apple Music Nigeria conversations feel different to some fans since Seyi Vibez became popular. So, what exactly has Seyi Vibez done to Afrobeats? 😭💔 Are we just experiencing a coincidence, or is the industry genuinely losing its global momentum? Swaguu sold out 500 units in uk 😭💔
