Yes, Beyoncé has lost weight, but these two photographs are almost SEVEN MONTHS apart. People underestimate what seven months of consistent nutrition, structured dieting, strength training and professional fitness guidance can achieve. The CDC recognises 1–2 pounds of weekly weight loss as a healthy rate for many adults. That's potentially a significant change over 28 weeks. We love her at any size she is in!

Katherine was booked for a prince, a police chief and the entire Argentina soccer team. In the '80s she made $500,000 a year working for the madam Heidi Fleiss took her clients from. Then the FBI caught her with 6 kilos of c*caine and $79,000 cash.
And she was relieved.
She is 73 now. She grew up 10 minutes from Beverly Hills. Her dad worked for the Max Factor family, and she was in modeling school. Then her family fell apart and she ended up working for "Alex", a Hungarian madam in Bel Air. According to Katherine, Alex's black book is where Heidi Fleiss got her numbers. The entry ticket was brutal: to get hired, you had to "audition" with the madam's boyfriend.
The clients were another planet. Alex booked the entire Argentina soccer team, and the girls were expected to stay all day while the young players went one after another. Katherine did three, said she was done and walked out. She got fired, until a client requested her and she was called back. A prince ordered one black girl, one Asian girl and one white girl. Nobody walked out of there with less than $2,000. She was flown to New York for three days for a man who wanted a girl who looked exactly like her. She was flown to Detroit for a client who turned out to be the chief of police.
She counted it once: a little more than half a million dollars a year. In the 1980s. She walked Rodeo Drive with $20,000 to $50,000 in her bag and drove a Rolls-Royce and a gold Cadillac. At the same time she was moving dr*gs with people "pretty big in the drug world". Her boyfriend, a pimp, broke her ribs, and her face needed surgery. One client put a knife to her throat on Laurel Canyon. She survived, took a cab home, changed and went back to work the same night.
On September 7, 1989 it all ended. The FBI arrested her with six kilos of c*caine and $79,000. She says she was beaten and held with no bail. Her lawyer was the son of a mafia family. She was looking at 20 years.
She says the arrest felt like "a relief". She was 36, and she was done.
Today she is a chaplain on Skid Row, pulling women out of the same life.

Madonna settled her 2008 divorce from Guy Ritchie for at least £50 million, and in 2016 she went to court to get their son back from him.
"I'd assume it's one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement," her spokeswoman said, and the pub in west London stayed with him.
They married at a castle in Scotland in December 2000, and by October 2008 the split was public. The settlement was put at £50 million to £60 million and included Ashcombe House, their English country estate, out of a fortune of about $525 million that was mostly hers.
In December 2015, their son Rocco, then 15, left her tour and moved to London to live with Ritchie.
Madonna asked a New York court to bring him back, and Judge Deborah Kaplan ordered Rocco to return. When he did not, she declined to issue a warrant and urged the parents to settle out of court.
"I was on tour at the time, so I had to go on stage every night. I would just be lying on the floor of my dressing room sobbing," Madonna said.
"I really thought it was the end of the world," she said.
In September 2016, the case settled just before the parents were due in court. Ritchie's attorney said Rocco "can continue to live with his father in London."
Years later, Madonna said: "I'm really good friends with my son." Asked whether the lesson was acceptance, she said: "It took me a long time, actually. Several years."
The money took about 2 months to settle in 2008, the fight over Rocco took 9 months in 2016, and accepting it took her "several years," she said.

Last thing I'll say on the Walt / Red Baron Pizza video:
For those of us who grew up working class, Walt reminds us of our dads. He certainly reminds me of mine. Worked hard, chronically exhausted and frustrated, finding little fulfillment in the work. But he did what he had to do to feed his family, every damn day.

An important reminder from Atomic Habits by James Clear:
“It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment.”
Three customers at a Chili’s in Forest City, North Carolina, suffered chemical burns after margaritas were mistakenly prepared with an industrial cleaning product.
An employee reportedly mistook granulated degreaser left in an unlabeled container near the bar for a drink ingredient. Two employees also experienced symptoms after tasting the substance. The restaurant’s permit was temporarily suspended before being reinstated following a health inspection.

When En Vogue hit SNL in March 1992, they dismantled the myth that girl groups couldn’t sing full-throttle live in heels. Trading leads across Cindy, Dawn, Terry, and Maxine, their dynamic control remained untouchable—from Dawn’s raspy rock bite to Terry’s operatic belts. When they converged on the hook, their four-part harmonies locked in with their blend and zero backing tape. The album dropped 3 days later, proving to themselves and to the world just how Funky, these Divas really are.

DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE (2024) had an actual production cost of $556.8 million before UK tax credits, making it one of the most expensive films ever made.
Disney received $110.7 million in UK tax credits and reimbursements, bringing its net spending down to $446.1 million. The 2023 Hollywood strikes contributed to production delays and rising costs, despite the film ultimately grossing $1.34 billion worldwide.
