Before and after photo of an area we cleaned up today in South Ashford. We collected hundreds of cans, cans that could have saved hundreds of hours of energy if recycled. #Recycling #KeepKentClean #KeepAshfordClean #litterheroes @AshfordCouncil @KeepBritainTidy @EveryCanCounts

Big milestone for AquaLab! As of today, Our Stour has provided educational sessions relating to rivers, to over 1000 children! Our target was 450 children over the 3 year project (we still have 1 year to go!) To celebrate we made friends with these smooth newts at @WardenHouse

Fantastic #litterpick this morning. Thank you to @EMRmetal for their generous donation, now we have new litter pickers, gloves and hi-vis jackets with our logo on. Thank you to the volunteers and The Deputy Mayor Cllr Jenny Webb for the help. @AshfordCouncil @KeepBritainTidy

Good news! The Photo Competition deadline has been extended to April 30th! The milder weather recently has seen an influx of entries but we’d still love to see more, especially the younger age-group categories! So now you have the whole of Spring to get snapping!

Hosting a #YellowFish event is a great way of educating children (and adults!) about the impacts of pollution on our waterways and emphasising #OnlyRainDownTheDrain. We hope those who attended today will continue to care and protect the River Stour from pollution. @EnvAgencySE

Perhaps an organised litter pick would be a good idea. @SingletonLake volunteers manage to do a good job keeping their lake surroundings tidy. Also concerned about the amount of coppicing on top of the levels of tree removal in the last 6 months. Little left for migrant warblers.
