"I can’t..." "You can. You’ve held on this long. You can do it now. You’re a strong woman." Ukrainian combat medics carried out a complex evacuation of an injured resident of frontline Kindrativka. Because of the dangerous situation, reaching her by regular transport was too risky, so a ground robot was used to bring her to an aid station, where military medics provided pre-hospital care. After stabilization, she was transferred to evacuation crews and taken to a medical facility for further treatment. 📹: Liut Brigade

The agreement to release €6.6 billion from the European Peace Facility for Ukraine is excellent news. It means more support for Ukraine’s defence, from training to equipment. It complements what we are doing through our Ukraine support packages – for the state and for defence. And more is coming from our side. Very soon.
EU Member States have agreed on the terms for releasing €6.6 billion European Peace Facility funds for Ukraine. That’s good news for Ukraine and bad news for Russia. €900 million are for the EU’s Military Assistance Mission for Ukraine. €1 billion will fund new joint procurement of equipment. And €4.7 billion will reimburse Member States, with some already saying they will channel their share to Ukraine. Moscow’s hybrid attacks try to intimidate Europe into scaling back its support for Ukraine. Europe is doing the opposite.

People are eating weeds in Oleshky because there is almost nothing else left to eat. There is no electricity, water or gas. Some people eat once a day. Shops are closed and medicine is scarce. Leaving means facing mined roads, with no agreed humanitarian corridor. Around 6000 people remain there. At least 200 of them are children.

Russia's massive attack on Ukraine reached Moldova again this morning: four Russian drones violated our airspace, and at least one exploded in the north. Russia's war endangers all of Europe. We condemn this war and stand with Ukraine.

I want to write about what life is like right now for millions of people in Kyiv, living under constant air-raid sirens, Russian attacks, and threats. The alerts have been going on for more than a month without a break. The danger is constant. There are explosions every day, with no real respite. Here’s how this affects the daily lives of Kyiv residents: • Children: Kids have to spend hours in shelters at schools and kindergartens (not all of them have shelters). There is often not enough space or the necessary facilities to hold regular classes. There is no ventilation. Online learning is not always possible either, because children at home also have to move to shelters constantly. Poor sleep makes it harder for children to absorb information and for teachers to work with them. At kindergartens and schools, children cannot go outside, have regular activities, or even eat properly because it is often impossible to organize full meals in shelters. • Parents: For many parents, it is extremely difficult to balance work with caring for school-age or preschool children. If there is an air raid alert in the morning, for example, schools and kindergartens may not open, meaning parents cannot take their children there and go to work. If a child studies online, this often requires one of the parents to be present. Given the large number of displaced families and families in which at least one parent is defending Ukraine, it is especially difficult for mothers to combine motherhood and work because there is often no one to help. • Elderly people: If they have limited mobility or cannot move around easily, they may be unable to reach shelters even with the help of relatives. Access to medical care is more difficult. Calling an ambulance is harder because the system is overwhelmed with the number of injured people. Buying food and essential goods becomes more difficult as well. During power, water, and heating outages, elderly people living alone, especially on upper floors, are left in an extremely vulnerable situation. • Pets: They are terrified by explosions, often run away and get lost during air raid alerts, live under constant stress, and become ill more often. • Public transport and getting around the city: Kyiv lies on both banks of the Dnipro River. Traditionally, much of the business activity is concentrated on the right bank, while many residential districts are on the left bank. One of Kyiv’s metro lines, which helps hundreds of thousands of residents get to work and back home, is closed during air raid alerts because part of it runs above ground across a bridge, where passengers could not be safely evacuated in the event of a drone strike. As a result, when air raid alerts last for hours in the morning or evening, hundreds of thousands of Kyiv residents have to take much longer routes, getting stuck in massive traffic jams. This also makes it difficult for parents to pick up their children from schools or kindergartens. GPS is another problem. During air raid alerts - which are now constant - location services do not work properly, making it very difficult for drivers to navigate unfamiliar routes. Kyiv and Kyiv region cover a huge area. Mobile networks and internet service also experience disruptions. • Government services: Although some government services continue operating when "only" drones are heading toward Kyiv, getting services, certificates, or documents still becomes more difficult and takes longer. People have to spend much more time on these things, and delays are common. • Logistics: Postal services are slower. Nova Poshta, a private Ukrainian postal company, has suffered numerous Russian attacks on its warehouses and distribution centers. Large numbers of parcels have been destroyed by fire, and deliveries that once took one or two days can now take a week. • Food and goods: Because of Russia's strikes on warehouses, some products are temporarily unavailable in many stores. The situation changes constantly, so you never know whether you will be able to buy groceries for the week or find the things you need. Many production facilities have also been destroyed by Russia, creating shortages of certain goods. Prices for food and other products are also rising because of fuel costs, destroyed warehouses, and disrupted logistics. • Travel: Russian attacks on railway transport and infrastructure are intensifying, so train travel - once the most reliable and comfortable way to travel, including abroad - is becoming unpredictable and dangerous. Yesterday, Russia attacked Kyiv’s central railway station. If there is a threat of a Russian strike in an area where a train is traveling, it is stopped and passengers are evacuated. They have to spend hours outdoors, sometimes several times during a single journey. Trains are delayed, making it incredibly difficult to plan connections. • Mental health: It is impossible to plan anything while living under constant attacks. People are exhausted by the endless explosions, air raid alerts, and sleepless nights. Russia cannot break through the Ukrainian front, so it is terrorizing civilians and seeking to undermine Ukraine’s rear, force Ukrainians to leave their cities, or pressure them into demanding peace on any terms. What is the mood in Kyiv right now? The reality is extremely difficult. Some people are adapting - as terrible as that may sound - because it's actually impossible to get used to constant attacks. Kyiv residents who have decided to spend the winter in the city are preparing for a harsh winter. Some are choosing to spend the winter elsewhere. People are tired but determined. Everyone understands that winter will be worse. So they keep working and preparing for it. They support one another. I feel deeply sorry for the people. We did not choose this war or this life. Honestly, I don’t know what other country or people could endure such a brutal and destructive war for this long. We have to hold on. The war will end, there will be peace, and we will live to see it. For now, Kyiv residents drink yet another cup of coffee after a sleepless night and continue to work. P.S. I will also write about other cities: Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kryvyi Rih...
Russia has changed its tactics for attacking Kyiv and Kyiv region. Previously, the enemy would build up a swarm of drones for a massive attack, usually at night, once every few days. Now the attacks are continuous. Russia launches 1-2 jet-powered drones at a time without pause. These drones are difficult to shoot down, and air raid alerts in Kyiv and the region have been sounding almost nonstop for several days. This is paralyzing life in a city where millions of people live. The relentless danger and inability to plan anything are causing enormous exhaustion. How can anyone adapt to the constant threat of death, especially with small children? This is not a "new normal." These are war crimes and terror against civilians. Russia must be stopped and punished.

51 countries are united today in our support for Ukraine at the UN General Assembly. Since March 2025, Ukraine has agreed to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire. We call on Russia to finally do the same. Ukraine wants peace. We want peace. Russia must stop its aggression, accept a ceasefire, and engage meaningfully in negotiations towards a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in accordance with international law.

“Rules have value only if they bind everyone, especially those powerful enough to break them...” - Czech President Petr Pavel. President Petr Pavel, delivered an absolute masterclass on how to handle the world's biggest bullies. He completely shreds putin’s murderous, unhinged invasion of Ukraine, and then turns right around to put Xi’s feet to the fire for quietly enabling the whole thing while pretending to be neutral. He basically calls out both regimes for holding global security hostage and acting like international law doesn't apply to them. Pavel: “Rules have value only if they bind everyone, especially those powerful enough to break them. When rules are cast aside, raw power fills the vacuum. A world dominated by great power competition is a volatile world, less able to address the most pressing challenges of our time. It is a world where a single spark can ignite a fire. Instead, we should insist that with greater power comes greater responsibility. Responsibility in the use of force, responsibility to exercise restraint, but also responsibility to use one's influence to prevent force from becoming necessary in the first place. This applies particularly to permanent members of the UN Security Council. China has the power, influence and responsibility to help prevent conflicts, to escalate tensions and contribute to ending wars. This includes using its influence to help bring Russia's aggression against Ukraine to an end. That aggression was launched and continues to be waged by another permanent member of the UN Security Council, Russia, in violation of the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law. Russia's aggression continues to inflict enormous suffering on the Ukrainian people. Civilians and civilian infrastructure continue to be attacked indiscriminately. And risks are growing day by day. Russia's aggressive posture poses a direct threat to European security as a whole. The immediacy of that threat was starkly illustrated by the recent attempted Russian drone attack on Leipzig Halle Airport in Germany, only 150 kilometers from the borders of Czech Republic.”

Kaja Kallas on the US inviting Putin to the G20 summit in Miami: "It was very hard to hear. Considering that even a few days ago, there were Russian intelligence officers charged for murders of Americans on American soil. So, my question is: do these intelligence officers operate alone or do they get orders from Putin? And I can tell you: they get orders from Putin."
The United States has officially invited Putin to the G20 summit in Miami, set for December. "We believe this is an opportunity for Putin to engage not only with President Trump, but also with other world leaders. We hope that's an invitation he'll accept," Marco Rubio said.

We have seen Russia’s dangerous recklessness at full display in the past 48 hours. A Russian warship fired flares at a Danish helicopter. NATO jets had to shoot down a drone over Lithuania. Russia struck a passenger train near the border with Ukraine. And Poland pulled a drone from its shores. We need to be clear-eyed: those are not accidents. They are calculated attempts by Russia to weaken our resolve. Europe will not dial back its support for Ukraine. My intervention in #EPlenary ↓
