"Shoulder typing" is a potentially great idea for bringing portable typing to VR computing. We've experimented with "keyboard aprons" at @SimulaVR, but this looks potentially better.

Just gave @SimulaVR window manager a spin github.com/SimulaVR/Simula and that's pretty promising! Using the Index on Ubuntu 22.04 so not the dedicated hardware but still gives a glimpse. Exciting to see a Linux proper, as opposed to yet another Android, in the making.🐧💕😎

I really think a headset like what @SimulaVR is building is just better for the working environment. You get a bunch of desk space back, cut your power consumption by a lot etc

Our headset is purposefully designed to give off a "retro computing" vibe. In the 70s/80s, PCs were conceived more as "general tools for the thinking" than they were "social networking or gaming devices" (though gaming was certainly one of the many things people did on them).
