WHAT WAS WRONG WITH OMKAR? THAT HE WAS BEING AN ELEPHANT? A 10 year old elephant separated from his herd, moving through his natural landscape, behaving like a WILD ANIMAL and now Vantaras specialist support for tranquilisation and rehabilitation is being explored. Why must wildlife pay the price for a world humans have occupied, fragmented and claimed as their own? OMKAR DOESN’T NEED TO BE TAUGHT HOW TO BE AN ELEPHANT. WE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO COEXIST WITH ONE. If anyone needs rehabilitation, it is us the arrogant, destructive humans who treat every wild animals existence as a problem to be managed. Stop romanticising capture as compassion. Before anyone decides Omkar’s future, where is the evidence that removing him from the wild is truly in his best interests? WILDLIFE DOESNT NEED HUMANISATION. HUMANS NEED TO LEARN HUMILITY. #SaveOmkar #StopWildlifeCaptivity #SaveIndianAnimals #SaveElephants @Vantara_RF @PFCII @PetaIndia @pfaindia @Manekagandhibjp @RahulGandhi @narendramodi @annamalai_k @CMOTamilnadu @Tejasvi_Surya @jsaideepak

Delhi traders’ associations have opposed the ongoing protests in Connaught Place and Jantar Mantar. They have extended support to Delhi Police. For the first time in last 15 days, shops and restaurants remained open in Connaught Place yesterday and there was no restriction on movement of people. For the first time, people were seen shouting slogans in CP, “Delhi Police Aagey Badho, Hum Tumhare Saath Hain”. Most of them were local shopkeepers who have restaurants and shops in CP. These traders said, even if 20-25 people gather and start chanting slogans, they had to down their shutters and crore of rupees worth business is lost. New Delhi Traders Association said, the daily loss incurred due to protests in the area is to the tune of nearly Rs 100 crore. This is the reason why shopkeepers extended support to police. Everybody has the right to protest but should refrain from hurling abuses. If protesters have their rights, the common people too have their rights. Common citizens must not be unduly harassed.

DRAFT RULES ON ANIMAL EXPERIMENTATION, 2026, MUST BE WITHDRAWN! Our dogs, our cats, our cows, our monkeys and every other animal we share our country with are not disposable. They are not objects to be experimented on without proper safeguards. They are living beings who feel pain, fear and suffering, and they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. The Draft Rules on Animal Experimentation, 2026, threaten to weaken the safeguards meant to protect them. Animals could be sourced from open markets and unregistered establishments, while institutions could approve their own experiments through internal committees. Who will protect these animals if the safeguards meant to protect them are weakened? We cannot allow this to go unchallenged. 📩 Write to the Member Secretary, CCSEA @Dept_of_AHD , at [email protected] Demand the withdrawal of the Draft Rules on Animal Experimentation, 2026. Make your objection heard, and urge others to do the same. India must move towards humane scientific research and alternatives to animal experimentation, not weaken the protection animals deserve. THESE DRAFT RULES MUST BE WITHDRAWN. #AnimalsMatter #WithdrawAnimalExperimentationRules2026 #SaveAnimals #SaveIndianAnimals #Pawsasia Email ID To: [email protected] Dear Member Secretary, I am writing to register my strong objection to the proposed Draft Rules on Animal Experimentation, 2026, and to urge their immediate withdrawal. India has a moral and legal responsibility to protect animals from unnecessary pain, suffering and exploitation. Any revision to the existing regulatory framework must strengthen animal welfare safeguards, not dilute them. The reported provisions permitting animals to be sourced from open markets and unregistered establishments, along with greater reliance on internal institutional committees for approving experiments, raise serious concerns about transparency, independent oversight and accountability. Animals are sentient beings, not expendable resources for scientific advancement. Research must be guided by ethical responsibility, stringent independent scrutiny and a commitment to developing and adopting scientifically validated alternatives to animal experimentation. I therefore urge the CCSEA and the concerned Ministry to withdraw the proposed Draft Rules, undertake meaningful consultations with animal welfare organisations and independent experts, and introduce a framework that places animal welfare and ethical scientific progress at its core. Scientific advancement and compassion are not mutually exclusive. India should aspire to lead in both. I request that this objection be formally recorded and considered before any further action is taken on the proposed Rules. Yours sincerely, Prakash W. Kamat, (Vice President,Goa Animal Federation @GoaAnimalfedn )

Dhruv Rathee has returned to Germany. Do you know why he left Bharat so quickly? In 2018, he made a video claiming that Vikas Pandey, who is privately active on social media, had offered a man named Mahavir Prasad Khileri 50 lakh rupees to speak against Dhruv Rathee. Arvind Kejriwal then retweeted that video as well. After this, Vikas Pandey and his family faced abuse, harassment, and threats from Dhruv Rathee's and Aam Aadmi Party's supporters. He took legal action for defamation against both Kejriwal and Dhruv Rathee. The allegations in the video were so baseless and unfounded that, despite being represented by a senior lawyer like Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Kejriwal had to admit his mistake and apologize in the Supreme Court. After Kejriwal apologized, the proceedings against him were closed, but the criminal defamation case continued against Dhruv Rathee, who made the video. During the hearings, the courts kept issuing summons and notices to Dhruv Rathee, but because he was sitting abroad, he didn't bother to respond. Recently, he came to India to take part in the CJP's regime-change protests. Two days ago, Vikas Pandey's legal team tracked him down at his residence in Sector 56, Gurugram. When Dhruv Rathee neither answered phone calls nor accepted legal documents directly, the lawyers, with the help of the society's security guards, pasted the summons outside his house. Realizing that he could even be arrested in this case of ignoring summons continuously for the past eight years, he panicked and hurriedly left India. Darpok kahin ka 😏 What better example could there be of his respect for the law and the judicial process!

University Students in #Turkey 🇹🇷 made a beautiful shelter for dogs so the police came and destroyed it yesterday and took all the dogs to certain death. Very outrageous and sad! #SaveTurkish Dogs and this is a terrible betrayal to the Turkish University students who did a wonderful thing they deserved thanks for, not police brutality and m*rder of the dogs they cared for.

Shocking demands from a Bangladeshi man at Dhruv Rathee’s London protest:🤯 Q: Why did you come to an Indian protest when you’re from Bangladesh? Man: Yes, I’m from Bangladesh, but I’ve been living in West Bengal for the past few years. However, I was deported because of the SIR conducted under Gyanesh Kumar. Q: So, what are your demands, and do you support CJP? Man: I support CJP, and I want regime change in India so I can return to West Bengal, where I lived under Mamata Didi’s government.🥲 Thanks, Dhruv Rathee, for this London protest. Now I know why I should vote for the BJP and support Gyanesh Kumar.🙏

The ‘Tiranga March’ call by Cockroach Janta Party was a flop in both Delhi and Mumbai. There was no mass gathering in either Connaught Place or Azad Maidan. Those who took part in the march in Connaught Place were either activists of Left parties’ student wings or from the Aam Aadmi Party. Delhi Metro remained open, internet was not shut down and shops in CP remained open. Only the Central Park at CP remained closed to people. Why was CJP’s ‘Tiranga March’ a flop? Delhi Police realized that Cockroach Janta Party has no mass base and its support is limited to social media only. Secondly, like the students’ protest against NEET paper leak, this protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar had no emotional connect. CJP was dependent on the support of only two formations – Aam Aadmi Party and Left parties’ student wings. Police had to toil hard to foil the attempts of these two parties to carry out a march. Two people took the wind out of the sails of the campaign that all parties had created together against CEC Gyanesh Kumar. AISA chief Neha Bora spoke about her “inspiration” from the violent regime change in Bangladesh and senior advocate Prashant Bhushan clearly said, the main objective is not removal of SIR or Gyanesh Kumar, but “regime change”. It is good that the Congress did not support these views. How can the public support such a campaign? At least people know, the nation is supreme.

Footage from an animal welfare NGO’s CCTV cameras and the barking of stray dogs have given Pune Police key leads in a robbery at Shelar Mala in the Katraj-Kondhwa Road area. The robbery took place at around 2.40 am on Monday, October 12. A group broke open the front doors of two locked, empty flats in buildings facing each other and stole gold ornaments and cash. The suspects also latched the outer doors of neighbouring flats from outside, which trapped the residents inside and delayed any alarm or chase. The residential buildings have no security cameras, so police checked the CCTV at the compound of Pranimitra Animal Welfare, a nearby organisation that gives food, water and shelter to stray animals. The footage matches what residents heard that night: sudden, loud barking and whimpering by stray dogs, followed by the screech of a four-wheeler braking. After reviewing the video timestamps and accounts from locals, police believe four to five armed suspects, aged between 18 and 25, were involved. The NGO’s management has given all relevant recordings to the police to help trace the getaway vehicle and identify the gang members. Further investigation is underway. #Punetimesmirror #Katraj
