Comes a moment when you’ve tried a dish on the menu, and didn’t like it, when you change your order. You just want to keep chatting about the menu. No more referenda are needed; minds have already changed because the previous dish made the country very ill.
Replying to @Simply_simon
Sure . Then have more referandums . Same way as you have GE as people also then change their minds

No insult, just friendly advice.

Ah! The old personal insult when you clearly have no answer.

Burnham - Bugger Brexit. Get Brexit Undone.
A British business pays someone to complete paperwork that didn't previously exist. Another checks visa conditions. Another navigates professional recognition rules. None of this creates a better product or service. How much of Brexit's bureaucracy is wasted potential?

HMRC says that since Brexit, businesses have had to spend an extra £7.5bn a year as the number of customs forms has quadrupled and fees have increased. As well as goods being stuck in customs yards for 3-4 weeks, rather than the 2-3 days it was previously, how can people really think that’s good for UK businesses? 81% of small businesses faced an increase in costs & 10,000 small businesses had to choose between paying the costs or face losing the ability to trade with Europe. Brexit cost small businesses £27bn in lost trade in the first two years alone.

Why shouldn't a British citizen spend six months in Spain, return home, then six months in France? Why must time spent in one country reduce time available in another? Reciprocal arrangements offering six months per visit could change lives. Why aren't we discussing this?

People change their minds. Are they not entitled to be considered?
Replying to @Simply_simon
Then why not accept the first and only referendum as it was supposed to be

Thanks for your message, whatever it means.

Wow, your thesis and anti-thesis is that you're right and everyone else is insular or stupid. What a complex analysis. Wow. Go back to Bluesky and your ecochamber. The rest of us have to live in reality and get stuff done.

I’m sure your message made sense to you when you wrote it; I’m not so lucky. I don’t know what LLMs are and I am not clear what job you think I do. I’m delighted you know some names of prominent Europeans, but what good will that do you, as I doubt you will want to visit?
Replying to @Simply_simon
Not really. Feel free to name them, since you're an expert. It's cute you hold education so highly. Most LLMs are doing your job 10x better. I hope you have more to go on than "how clever you are." You might want to develop personality and character at some point...

Vance is a foul-mouthed non-entity with an identity crisis.
JD Vance has attacked former White House Press Secretary and journalist Jen Pskai, telling her to “eat shit” for being critical of the Trump Administration. RETWEET if you stand with @JrPsaki against Vance’s disgusting attack!

You can have voted Leave in 2016 and want Britain to rejoin the EU in 2026. You don't have to apologise. You don't have to explain yourself. Changing your mind when circumstances change isn't weakness. It's common sense.

Of course. There is every reason to support a Government that is prepared to take the best course of action for the people of the UK.
🇬🇧 Would you still support Labour if it pushed for the UK to rejoin the EU? A) YES ✅ B) NO ❌

The referendum was advisory. The political decision was a separate process, and there was no obligation on the Government whatever the outcome of the vote. Not difficult to understand; you just have to try harder. Good advice: Don’t believe everything you think.
Replying to @Simply_simon
It was an 'in' or 'out' vote. It really was that simple. Advisory had nothing to do with it.

Tories have always been for the rich, but @kemiBadenoch is so blatantly overt, she is shouting from the rooftops that if you're not a millionaire @Conservatives don't care about you. ⬇️. ⬇️

🔴LABOUR MP EXPENSES: @YvetteCooperMP REMEMBER when Cooper and husband cashed in on two homes loophole❓ They purchased house for £655,000, paid £217,000 deposit, and claimed balance at taxpayers' expense. standard.co.uk/hp/front/cabi… - @justrightFrank
How nice when a former couple of Labour ministers can buy a house for £655,000, pay a deposit of £217,000 and claim the balance at taxpayers expense, so that it is all paid in full in under 10 years No wonder Yvette can be so generous with the mince pies. standard.co.uk/hp/front/cabi…
