Felicia Hambrick was babysitting her best friend’s three kids in Tacoma when the family’s pit bull suddenly attacked.
She was holding the 8-month-old baby when the dog knocked her to the floor.
Felicia curled her body around the baby and refused to let go.
She was bitten over and over on her arms, legs, stomach and neck, but she kept herself between the dog and the child the entire time.
The baby was never bitten once.
Felicia spent five days in the hospital and needed 94 staples to close her wounds.
She took the full force of that attack so someone else’s baby wouldn’t have to.
That is what a hero looks like.

Just to recap: Trump went to war against Iran, which then closed the Strait of Hormuz, a critical energy chokepoint that was fully open before said war.
Trump then tried to re-open the strait with diplomacy (which failed), then military force (which failed) and then a blockade (which also failed).
And then this week, Iran presented a plan that would re-open the strait in 7 days—which, again, was operating normally before the war and has become a top U.S. goal since—and Trump rejected it.
Brilliant statecraft.

Riddle me this, GOP tax-cutters. The Federal tax share of GDP would have been 16.9% (red box) after the 1981 Reagan tax cut was fully implemented in 1988 and before any subsequent increases. As it has actually happened, the average tax share (green box) over 1988 to 2025 was 17.0%, which is actually nearly spot on the 1954-1980 average of 16.7% (blue box).
So with a de facto Reagan tax cut level actually in force during the last four decades, why didn't we grow our way out of the deficit? Actually, the public debt was $2.3 trillion and 50% of GDP at the end of 1987 versus $40.1 trillion and 123.5% today. Where's the so-called Laffer Curve?
How about going back to the old time religion of balancing the Federal budget the hard way. By cutting spending or raising taxes in the here and now and being honest with the American public after 45 years of faking and lying?

I'm old enough to remember how the neocons destroyed the Republican party in 2008, the Democrats won huge majorities in both houses.
Of course the Democrats didn't stop the wars, close Gitmo, cancel the Patriot Act or slow down the surveillance state, instead they bailed out the bankers.
The Republicans clawed back into power promising smaller government, lower spending and to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Instead we are now $40 trillion in debt, massive inflation, they ignored the DOGE recommendations, they started another war and insurance costs have skyrocketed.
We have two political parties that never do anything they promise. We aren't voting our way out of this.

Our government doesn’t work for the American people and there needs to be immediate action.
#1 Pres Trump must end the Iran war and bring peace as 70% of Americans oppose the war.
#2 Gov leaders and oil industry leaders must immediately get to work on a plan to build more refineries and make America energy independent. And implement the plan immediately.
The experts are saying a diesel export ban won’t really help because we are tied to the global oil industry.
It’s completely unacceptable for the U.S. which is so rich in oil, to put their citizens in such a detrimental financial position and handcuff us to global oil prices and industry.
There has not been significant refineries built in the U.S. since 1977, 49 years ago!!
And it’s been about that same time span that our own gov and major corporations of all kinds globalized and sent money overseas, invested overseas, and built an infrastructure that is dependent on global trade and refining.
Not just in the oil and gas industry, you can apply this to manufacturing as well.
And ever since then, Americans have consistently been screwed over by our government and our own corporations.
We have lost jobs.
We have lost money.
And we have enriched foreign countries all over the world.
Anger over nonstop America last policies and actions that have stolen American’s wealth and dreams is what fueled America First and why many of us turned to Trump because we thought that’s what MAGA was.
We thought Trump was going to right the wrongs that have been done to the regular American man and woman.
But instead Trump gave us another middle eastern foreign war we didn’t want and record high gas and diesel prices again.
This has truly exposed the fact that drill baby drill didn’t lower gas prices.
We don’t have an America focused refining industry, instead we have a global focused and profit driven refining industry.
Kidnapping Venezuela’s President and wife and taking their oil didn’t lower gas prices.
And with record high diesel and gas prices many Americans are saying they could care less if Iran has a nuclear weapon, they just want a government that works for the American people and makes life affordable and gas/diesel cheap.
End the war!!!
Build more U.S. refineries!!!
Give Americans cheap gas and diesel!!!

Why should young white men fight for this country in its current state? This Britain? It’s certainly not a country for them.
They’re insulted, mocked, discriminated against. Treated, in so many different ways, like second class citizens. Purely because of their skin colour. There’s a word for that.
Racism. An anti-white racist British state.
Why should they put their lives on the line to defend it? For what? To protect what? To sacrifice themselves for a system that believes that are somehow inferior to others because they were born white and male?
Jobs lost, opportunities wrongly handed to others, a bent justice system stacked against them.
Working class men have watched their communities entirely transform in a few short years, yet if they complain about that they’re labelled racist bigots. And we expect them to go to war for that? I don’t think so.
I want a Britain that millions of young British men would be proud to defend and even die for, if it came to it.
We, sadly, are an awfully long way from that.
Pretending otherwise is just pointless.
We need a Restore Britain Government that will give these men a country worth fighting for, a high-trust society restored, and a home they want to preserve.
