Over 97% of advanced dexterous hands for humanoid robots come from Chinese makers.
Hands are among the hardest components to build, so this is a part of the supply chain worth watching as the humanoid race develops.
The dollar is extending its run. EURUSD has slipped back below the downtrend line in place since September 9 and is heading toward 1.115, a new low for the move. The pair is down about 4.5% from that point.
$NDX and $SPX are lower.
bitcoin:native is falling as well and has come back to around $83,000, the area of its May 2026 high. That level capped the price in spring and is now being tested from above.
The numbers:
→ CPI YoY: 3.7% vs 3.6% expected (prev: 3.4%)
→ CPI MoM: +0.6%, in line
→ Core CPI MoM: +0.3% vs +0.2% expected
Core was the figure markets were watching. It was expected to cool but printed 0.3% again instead, pointing to price pressure spreading beyond energy. The Fed meets on October 27-28, less than two weeks from now.
Hotter CPI lifts the dollar again
September inflation came in above expectations, with core holding its pace for a second month. The dollar is up, and risk assets are under pressure. 🧵

In today's fast moving markets, practically any news headline or rumor can spark immediate volatility.
We saw this play out when misunderstandings surrounding OpenAI revenue figures triggered a sudden drop in the NASDAQ before the market quickly absorbed the news and rebounded.
Memory stocks extended their sell-off today after China's CXMT said it made progress on a denser DRAM cell design (4F²) and plans to launch server memory based on it by the end of 2026.
SK Hynix closed over 10% lower in Seoul and Samsung fell 7.4%. Micron also fell in US trading, as AI spending concerns weighed on chips too.
CXMT's claim is not independently verified, and the company still lags the leaders in HBM.
$DXY traded above 102 yesterday, its highest since April 2025, and the daily RSI has stayed above 70 since the start of October. That means almost two weeks of gains with barely a pullback. A softer CPI print would hit the dollar hard, with a lot of profit on the table.
Brent is still holding above $100, and that keeps feeding into fuel and transport costs.

What's expected:
→ CPI MoM: +0.6% (prev: +0.4%)
→ CPI YoY: 3.6% (prev: 3.4%)
→ Core CPI MoM: +0.2% (prev: +0.3%)
The forecasts point in two directions.
Headline inflation is expected to speed up, while core, which excludes food and energy, is expected to cool. That gap says most of the pressure is coming from energy. If core holds at 0.3% or higher for a second month, the case for another hike gets harder to dismiss.
CPI tomorrow: Energy pushes headline.
US CPI for September lands tomorrow, October 14, at 12:30 UTC. It's the last inflation reading before the Fed meets on October 27-28 🧵
