YOU'RE NOT PAYING TAXES FOR THE PROPERTY, YOU'RE PAYING YOUR TOWN FOR THE SERVICES IT PROVIDES. THE ROADS, POLICE, SCHOOLS, FIRE DEPARTMENT, LIBRARY, SNOW PLOWS, EMERGENCY SERVICES AND SO MUCH MORE.
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?”
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

This morning, I met with business and community leaders to share our economic plan to grow Ontario’s economy, tackle affordability and restore strong fiscal management.
Thank you to John Manley, Charles Sousa and the leaders and experts across sectors who helped shape these policies.
Ontario needs a plan built on collaboration to drive growth in every region. Let’s work together to build an economy that works for everyone.

All I see: he is interrupting and talking over her while she tries to answer the question. His team needs to tell him to read the room - it’s never been, and certainly isn’t now, a good look. Instant ick.
Torontonians deserve leadership that knows what it's talking about.
But mayor Olivia Chow, as we can see in this clip. Has no idea. She's been a politician for 50 years and she can't grasp Finance.
Brad Bradford on the other hand. Clearly knows what he's saying.
Is Toronto going to let this continue? Or will they vote for change?
(btw, I tried to warm up the picture because TVOs white balance was icky tonight).

You were begging Marc Miller for more immigrants in 2024!
The Prime Minister and I have found common ground on many things over the last 18 months. However, it appears that he has yet to fully understand just how damaging the open-border policies of his predecessor were. Those policies caused Canada’s cost of living to skyrocket, overwhelmed our social services, and made homes and jobs unattainable for thousands of young Canadians.
That’s why I’m encouraging Albertans to vote ‘yes to the rest’ to give our government a strong mandate to take more control over our immigration system, so that we can prioritize economic migrants, put Albertans first for jobs, and ensure Albertans’ social services are sustainable. We’re also asking for a strong mandate to work with willing provinces to reform the courts, abolish the senate, and protect provincial jurisdiction.
I look forward to hearing from Albertans on October 19th.

Ontario Auditor General’s report confirms 12,000 Ontario government staff used unsecured AI sites, "accidentally" leaking confidential documents, health cards and driver's licences.
Why? The Ford government failed to block data-sharing on 244 unsafe apps. Link in comments.

Penny Collenette is no stranger to leadership contests or succeeding as a woman in business, law and politics. Named as one of Canada’s 50 Most Influential People by Maclean’s magazine and a recipient of both the Order of Ontario and the Order of Canada, Penny has made an extraordinary impact on the advancement of women and human rights across Canada.
Having Penny’s endorsement is deeply meaningful to me. I am truly honoured and grateful for the confidence she has placed in me.

2024: Olivia Chow attempted to cap not cut the number of ride hail cars at 83K to review the reported negative impacts on congestion, accessibility & workers. Brad Bradford openly supported not the drivers, but Uber and Lyft, voting against the proposal. But rip out bike lanes.🤷♀️
