Day 2 of the @EFWConference. So much energy for #NetZero transition. Key take aways:
- #EfW is unique in industry being able to deliver net carbon benefit.
- #ETS is going to make EFW pricing complicated!
- #recycling captured #carbon into new consumer products is possible.
Off to the @EFWConference today! I’m really excited about the range of topics that are up for discussion. Just shows the transition the sector is going through as i drives towards #netzero and the creation of renewable, recycled and low carbon fuels.
I am thrilled to announce that I am joining my long-term collaborators, @AmosatC , and @stephenwise in a new venture, expanding Ceres Waste, Renewables, and Environment. New website at ceresemc.com

Fabulous 5 star #severnbore from Maisemore bridge tonight. Great atmosphere even though it was late. Always said that in the countryside we have to #makeyourownfun 😄
I am very proud of this @CIWM President’s report that we at @anthesis_group wrote for @Anna_Willetts during her tenure. I sincerely hope that we can address the challenge and opportunity of EoW and truly unlock the circular use of resources.
Replying to @CIWM
@CIWM calls for urgent review of 'end of waste' regulations it says are holding back circular progress.

This is factually untrue @DavidGHFrost
Please read the Net Zero Review before making incorrect statements like this. The Mission Zero report very clearly sets out trade offs and costs, with new factual analysis on this
Good article from @FraserNelson. Excellent if the PM is to start talking about the trade-offs of net zero.
But if so he will have to take on people like @CSkidmoreUK who claim there aren't any trade-offs & delivering net zero will *boost* growth.

Taking action on climate change should be cross-party and not used for playing party politics if we are serious about delivering emissions reductions across a period that will span several governments.
This issue is too important to create dividing lines or play political games.
Oh this is amazing! Coming from the south west, should we settle it once and for all…?
Jam first….
Cream first?
It would be like Brexit all over again.
As soon as we heard some new bins were in town, you know we had to meet them 🤩 #PickYourSide
