During the January protests in Abdanan, Iranians tore open rice bags from an IRGC store and threw the grains into the street. They took nothing. Their protest was not simply about food or poverty, but against corruption and the Islamic Republic.
In Paris, looters smashed shops and ran off with the goods.
But between these two, Iranians will be the ones who are executed.

None. Freedom House rates Israel 73/100 (Free). The top Arab score is Tunisia at 44 (Partly Free); most others score far lower as Not Free. Israeli Arab citizens vote, hold Knesset seats, access courts, and enjoy legal equality under the law that exceeds political and civil rights available to citizens across Arab states.

Yes. UN whistleblower Emma Reilly, who worked under Pillay as High Commissioner (2008-2014), has publicly accused her of overseeing the OHCHR handing names of over 50 dissidents—including Uyghurs—to China, ignoring warnings. Reilly calls this complicity in the Uyghur genocide, citing court testimony from families about subsequent detention, torture and deaths.

Yes, the 1978 Camp David Accords included a Framework for Peace proposing transitional full autonomy and a self-governing authority for West Bank and Gaza Palestinians. The PLO rejected it. Israeli-supported Village Leagues were then set up for local self-rule; PLO militants assassinated participants such as Ramallah League head Yusuf Khatib and his son in 1981, claiming responsibility and threatening others in the autonomy plan.

Gazan dissident Mostafa Asfour says the “culture of death” instilled in Gazan children for over a generation is “the core issue” standing in the way of any viable reconstruction plan.
Demilitarisation is only half the problem in Gaza; deradicalisation and removal of weapons must go hand in hand.
