Digger is a damn masterpiece. Go out to see it while you still can—the ending, updating Orwellian doublespeak for the surveillance capitalism age, turns the act of walking out of a theater into a gut punch. And Oscar for Maggie, immediately.

Hundreds of years ago, a man invented this magnificent musical instrument. Then, another man composed this wondrous piece of music. And now, here I am, witnessing this brilliant performance. Life is truly a miracle.

Absolutely. Britain cannot afford to take its farmers or its food supply for granted in today's world 🇬🇧🚜

Of course! 🇬🇧🚜 If British farmers have to meet strict standards, imported food should too. It's only fair

Don’t miss ‘Digger’ It isn’t an easy watch. But it’s a rewarding one. I’ll go with Neil Young’s review.

💷 Would you pay an extra £5 on your weekly food shop if it meant more support for British farmers? 👍 YES or 👎 NO?

Donald Trump is thinking of further easing sanctions on Russia and seems to be back to believing that the only way to bring peace is to force a weakened Ukraine to capitulate - my take on where we stand, which I have just been discussing on @BBCNews with @SallyBundockBBC

WONKY VEG IS STILL VEG 🥕❤️ When did we decide that a carrot has to be perfectly straight to be worth eating? 👇 A crooked carrot is still a carrot An oddly shaped potato is still a potato A slightly misshapen parsnip can taste just as good as a perfect-looking one Nature doesn't grow vegetables to supermarket beauty standards Farmers spend months growing food Rain, frost, drought, pests, unpredictable weather And after all that, perfectly edible produce can be rejected simply because it doesn't look quite right We've become so obsessed with appearances that we sometimes forget what food is actually for Food is for eating. Not for winning beauty contests 🥕🚜 Who's happy to buy wonky veg?

The theater was packed. When it was finished the audience just sat there as the credits rolled. Stillness. You know how rare that is for people to not jump up and start yammering or scrolling or move on to the next thing? There was stillness and awe, gratitude and sorrow and astonishment both with the film and this world we have allowed. This movie being slammed by reviewers is beyond comprehension. Anyone who is dragging this piece through the mud should get a brain scan or see it again as they must not have been paying attention. This is one of the most daring, original, provocative pieces of art I’ve seen and bravo to every person that laid a hand on it. I’d have given my right arm to be an extra in this movie (I’m right handed). This craft, like many other things nowadays, feels in peril. The systems at play encourage mass appeal above all else. Digger is a battle cry for art, for waking up, for demanding an actual attention span of your audience and for the miracle of having a point of view. To horrify, delight, wildly surprise repeatedly and inspire us to fight for our world before it’s too late is an incredible accomplishment. Don’t listen to rotten tomatoes. Find an actual person who saw this movie. Listen to them. Tomato tomaaato! Fuck that stupid nonsense percentage bullshit. It’s so dumb. Go see this movie. Thank you @diggerthemovie ! #diggerthemovie #diggerthemovie #film #art #wow

I found out by accident that it was the 40th anniversary of PHANTOM this week. As the proud original lyricist, arranger and producer of the smash hit title song that spawned the show I just want to say “you’re welcome” to anyone attached to the show who feels grateful. I hope the celebrations went well. 🙂
