Patchwork fields stitched together by hedgerows and drystone walls, two horses grazing in quiet company, and hills rolling back as far as the eye can see. Just Yorkshire, layer upon layer. – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England

The older I get the more I stop chasing distractions and start chasing peace and quiet. For me, that peace and quiet lives along the Yorkshire coast. Salt air, open water and the noise of everything else fades away. Turns out the best remedy for chaos was never far from home 🥰 – at Robin Hood's Bay, England

Absolutely adore this brilliant seabird mural currently on display at Sumburgh Head painted by local Shetland school children and facilitated by the amazing team at Sumburgh Lighthouse and Shetland Amenity Trust. Puffins galore plus Arctic Skua, Gannet, Razorbill, Guillemot, Shetland Wrens and maybe Orcas in the water? Brilliant!

We live in a beautiful county. Rolling dales, wild moors, quiet villages and a long stretch of beautiful coastline. It's easy to take for granted what's right on your doorstep. Not everyone gets to call somewhere like this home. Let's enjoy it ♥️ – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England

Keld, North Yorkshire ♥️ A thousand years ago, Vikings stood in this exact spot and gave it a name: Kelda, meaning spring. Over time, it became Keld, though it was first known as Appletre Kelde, "the spring near the apple trees." The people who named it are long gone. The land they named hasn't moved an inch. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway 🚂 First opened in 1836 as the Whitby and Pickering Railway, this line was built to carry coal, limestone and passengers through the Moors, until the Beeching cuts closed it in 1965. Volunteers weren't ready to let it go, and by 1973, steam was running again and has been ever since 🥰 – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England

Nothing speaks more to me of September than Apple & Blackberry Crumble 😋 Straight from the oven, a bit of custard on top, and that first proper taste of autumn settling in. Simple, seasonal and impossible to beat. – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England

Muker Village Store is one of those rare gems that reminds us why small communities matter. In a world of supermarkets and online deliveries, there's something quietly special about a shop where you can pick up local produce, have a warm conversation and has everything you need for a day on the Dales. – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England

Ludwig on BBC one is brilliant, cozy crime detective drama at its best, plus a Christmas special and series 3 to look forward too. David Mitchell is perfect to play the main character.

York Minster ❤️ A stunning Gothic masterpiece that has stood tall for centuries. It has survived fires, collapses, and centuries of change and still, it dominates the York skyline exactly as it was always meant to. Nearly 1,400 years of history, in one building 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 – at York, England
