Jacinta Allan has announced she will not contest the November election. She was first elected to Bendigo East in 1999. All but four years of her career spent on government benches.
Vale Tony Walker. A wonderful leader and true public servant - with a reassuring ability to engage and explain the complexities of paramedic life to the public. A great help also off camera during the Pandemic.
Vale, Derryn Hinch.
A passionate Melbourne broadcaster and former Victorian Senator.
Enjoyed working with him briefly and many dealings over the years.
From my archives: Rebooting his Hinch TV format about 11 years ago .. on Sky from Southbank

For anyone who is querying the primary source of this & even want to verify . I was standing, left of the north stairs, below the grass mound where media were - in the crowd. It’s exactly what I heard & saw from that position. That’s what you’ve always got from my feed in 15yrs
Applause drowned out a chorus of boos during the welcome to country at Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance.
On the eternal flame side of the sacred ground - a gentleman swore “f*** me,” as they exited their spot & audibly “this country’s stuffed,”
He was told to keep walking…
Professor Margaret Gardner’s yearly ANZAC address is underway, during the acknowledgements which noted First Nations community and their welcome, the Victorian Governor met the moment brilliantly and increased her vocal tambre and resolve to counter another round of boos.
Please give what you can today to this amazing cause, close to my family’s hearts.
