What I know CIC will sympathize with him bcoz he's the leader. Remember what he said to @MbalulaFikile when he was sick. No matter how old he is CIC but he's their big brother.

🚨Thierry Henry on why Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2008 Ballon d’Or-winning season will always be regarded as one of the greatest seasons in football history:
🗣️ Thierry Henry: “I remember having a conversation with someone who asked me, ‘Thierry, we have seen Messi win so many Ballon d’Or awards, but why do people still talk about Ronaldo’s 2008 season as something special?’
“I told him, ‘Because what Cristiano did that year was different.
He didn’t just become Manchester United’s best player. He transformed the entire team.’
“Look at that Manchester United team. You had Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick, Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidić. These were incredible footballers, players who could walk into almost any team in the world.
“But Cristiano was the one who emerged from that team as a global superstar.
“Do you know why?
“Not simply because he was better than every player around him, but because he made the players around him better. When you have someone who can decide a match at any moment, the entire team starts believing that victory is always possible.
“Defenders became terrified of giving him space. Opponents had to change their plans to stop him, and that created opportunities for Rooney, Tevez and the others.
“Cristiano didn’t just make Manchester United stronger. He made everybody around him believe they could achieve something special. That is what separates a great player from a player who transforms a team.”
“Ronaldo was no longer just the young winger doing stepovers and entertaining the crowd.
He had become a machine. He scored with his head, both feet, from free kicks and from positions where you wondered how the goalkeeper could possibly stop him.
“I played against him, and preparing for Cristiano was a nightmare. You couldn’t give him space because he would run past you. You couldn’t get too close because he would beat you.
“And when you thought you had finally figured him out, he would arrive in the box and finish like a proper striker.
“That season, he scored 42 goals in all competitions. Forty-two! And he wasn’t even playing as a traditional number nine.
“He was a winger destroying defenders, scoring goals and carrying the expectations of one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“Manchester United won the Premier League and the Champions League. Cristiano wasn’t just collecting individual awards; he was delivering trophies.
When United needed somebody to make the difference, he was often the man they looked towards.
“Now, don’t misunderstand me. Lionel Messi is one of the greatest players football has ever seen. His Ballon d’Or-winning seasons were extraordinary, and what he did at Barcelona was sometimes beyond belief.
“But Ronaldo’s 2008 season has a special argument. He dominated English football, where the physical demands were enormous, and then helped Manchester United conquer Europe.
“When I compare that season with Messi’s greatest Ballon d’Or-winning campaigns, I look beyond the numbers. I look at the trophies, the position Cristiano played, the pressure he faced and the impact he had on his teammates.
“Messi could make you fall in love with football. But Ronaldo in 2008 could make you sit in the dressing room after a match and ask yourself, ‘How are we supposed to stop this guy next time?’”
“For me, that season belongs among the greatest ever because everything came together.
The goals, the trophies, the individual recognition and the transformation of a young talent into the face of world football.
“It wasn’t just the year Cristiano Ronaldo won the Ballon d’Or.
“It was the year he showed the world he was ready to rule football.”

How do you have 8 Ballon d'Ors, but when the world is asked to vote on the single most impressive, dominant, and undisputed individual win ever, they pick the guy who has 5? This is what you get when half of your awards are heavily disputed as charity handouts from FIFA.
Siuu.
