⭐️ Makaton Monday Club ⭐️ What a fab time we had at #MakatonMondayClub at @newport_ce today. As usual we started by learning @MakatonCharity #SignOfTheweek ‘LEARNING DISABILITY’. Then the children also:- ⭐️ Learnt ‘LEARNING DISABILITY WEEK’ as this week is #LearningDisabilityWeek @mencap_charity ⭐️ Learnt how to sign ‘DO YOU SEE ME?’, which is the theme of #LearningDisabilityWeek2025 ⭐️ Learnt how to sign ‘I SEE YOU’ ⭐️ Learnt how to sign the following Pronouns:- * I * Me * You * Mine * Yours * Us * They * Them ⭐️ Split into pairs & each pair were then given by me a book by @SigningFriends . Each pair then had to choose 2 concepts they’d like to learn to sign & then I taught them all the concepts they’d chosen ⭐️ Learnt some #SportsDay signs as it’s Sports Day this week in school for each Year group ⭐️ Learnt about #MakatonInternationalAwarenessDay & how to sign it. Then I gave each child a #MakatonInternationalAwarenessDay badge It’s only when it’s written down that you realise just how much we crammed into our 30 minutes!!! Next week the children will be learning how to sign along to ‘Shake It Off’ by Taylor Swift 🎶 😊 #WeTalkMakaton #WeUseMakatonWhatsYourSuperpower #MakatonTutor #SarahTheMakatonTutor #MakatonAware #MakatonAwareSchool #InclusiveSchool #Makaton4All
