Today marks 250 years since a small group of newspaper editors, farmers, and soldiers signed a document declaring our nation’s independence — a truth that feels self-evident now but was revolutionary then.
What a privilege us Americans have, to live in a nation that every one of its inhabitants can shape. What an honor us New Yorkers have, to look out over our city’s waters from the shores where so many Americans bravely entered their country for the first time.
Today and all days, let us remember that patriotism is not pretending our nation is without flaws. Patriotism is every act of righteous dissent — because loving our country means fighting for the best version of it.
Happy Fourth of July, New York City.

I don't have to explain in every post that I'm against the Israeli occupation just because I'm also against Hamas.
It is completely fine—and morally consistent—to oppose both.
The only people who deliberately conflate Palestinian freedom with support for Hamas are Hamas itself and its disgusting supporters. They want the world to believe that rejecting Hamas means abandoning Palestine. It doesn't.
I stand with my people and advocate for their freedom—not with terrorists, and not with occupation.
Down with the occupation. Down with Hamas.

Last year the world failed Sudan and allowed massacres in El Fasher because leaders would not call out the UAE, sponsor of the RSF militia responsible. Now world leaders seem about to allow similar massacres in the city of El Obeid because of the same reticence toward the UAE.

🚨 REPORT | Britain ignored more than two years of intelligence warning of a “genocidal” massacre in Sudan’s El Fasher to protect its relationship with the United Arab Emirates, leading war crimes investigator Nathaniel Raymond, head of Yale’s Humanitarian Research Lab, has told Parliament in a written statement, the Telegraph reports.
Key Details:
🔸Raymond testified to the House of Commons International Development Committee that his team gave UK officials real-time intelligence as the UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces besieged the city, which fell last October.
🔸 He said officials “prioritized” Britain’s “economic, security, and diplomatic relationships with the UAE above preventing the intentional starvation, forced displacement, and the genocidal slaughter of tens of thousands of civilians.”
🔸 Yale’s analysis estimates at least 60,000 people may have been killed within weeks of the city’s fall, a toll Raymond noted was about six times that of the 1995 Srebrenica genocide.
🔸 As the UN Security Council “penholder” leading on Sudan, Britain had “more than sufficient” intelligence to act, he said, including sanctioning UAE officials to cut “the clandestine UAE pipeline of advanced weaponry flowing to the RSF.”
🔸 Raymond also said that in May 2024, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) officials asked his university lab, rather than British intelligence, to publicly release intercepted phone data linking the UAE to the RSF, because Britain faced “significant private pressure” from Abu Dhabi.
🔸 He explained that the RSF briefly paused its assault after a UN resolution, on Abu Dhabi’s instruction, to gauge whether there would be consequences. When the UAE faced no further consequences, the attack resumed.
The failure, he said, spanned two governments, covering Foreign Secretaries David Cameron, David Lammy, and Yvette Cooper.

Tonight's NYC primary results are a breath of fresh air, and a fair warning to the dem establishment. You cannot keep controlling the electorate through your old guard. We are done with you.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Prof. Dimitri Bertsekas. His research on dynamic programming, distributed optimization, and RL is the theoretical ground on which generations of researchers have built. Was uploading preprints weeks before his death. Irreplaceable. RIP.

“The fact that they are trying to use this to make a story just shows how desperate they are,” says Adam Hamawy (@HamawyForNJ) in response to allegations that he was associated with Omar Abdel-Rahman, an Egyptian cleric convicted in 1995 for a plot to bomb several New York landmarks. “I was in a last-minute carpool [with Abdel-Rahman] and was asked to testify about the events that happened after that ride,” says Hamawy. “I went and testified in 15 or 20 minutes in a trial that took weeks on end.”

Dr. Adam Hamawy is a former Army combat surgeon who saved lives overseas, including the life of my colleague, Senator Tammy Duckworth. His record of selfless service is exactly what we need fighting for NJ-12 in Congress. I look forward to working with @HamawyForNJ to invest our money into healthcare, not funding reckless wars abroad. (2/6)

Congratulations to Dr. Adam Hamawy on his landslide victory tonight in the New Jersey 12th district Democratic primary.
Dr. Hamawy will be a strong progressive voice in the House and, as a physician, he understands our healthcare system is broken and we need Medicare for All.

Bezalel Smotrich should be sanctioned by American political and Jewish communal leaders - not marching alongside them in the streets of New York City.
Smotrich:
❌ is the architect of the Israeli government’s policies to ultimately annex the West Bank.
❌ said that “it may be just and moral” to starve 2 million Gaza residents, but "no one in the world would let us."
❌ is a supporter of "greater Israel" - believing that Israel should not only annex the West Bank, but go beyond into other nations like Jordan.
❌ believes Palestinians aren't real

3 Muslims killed at a mosque in San Diego. Trump: "It's a terrible situation." Indiana's Lt. Gov.: "I hate Islam. It's a demonic death cult." One is the President. The other is a sitting statewide official. And the country barely flinched.
This admission below is even more scandalous from Jewish Insider. The reporter of this psychotic article now acknowledges he knew about the government document that described a 1994 visit by a U.S. envoy under President Bill Clinton to a BIF office in Sudan who “praised BIF and its efforts to provide humanitarian relief.”
Yet he left that out (linking to a giant court document doesn't count) so that he could leave the impression that Adam Hamawy is somehow linked to Al Qaeda. To have that information in your possession but not include it in the article is deliberate and malicious.
He left it out for one obvious reason, because any reader would conclude, oh, if a White House envoy did not know this organization was used then, or would be used later, as a front for Al Qaeda, then of course a doctor who volunteered fresh out of medical school for a few weeks obviously would not know either. And then you have no story. Including this exculpatory information undercuts the entire piece, which is why it deserves not just an update but a retraction.
What @DropSiteNews doesn't seem to understand is the federal evidence proffer doesn't present this as fact: it's a description of how Benevolence International Foundation represented its own operations, as part of a pattern of deception.
And maybe Hamawy was among the deceived!
If anyone needed more proof that this was never about illegal immigration; it has always been about anti-immigration. If you are not an immigrant, you have no idea what this will do to a family. 👇🏽
