I do not agree with the idea that Black men are hard to love AT ALL. If anything, I think Black men suffer tremendously when it comes to dating, love, vulnerability, and actually being cared for. But y’all aren’t ready to have that conversation.

Black men are expected to be providers, protectors, emotionally bulletproof, sexually confident, financially successful, physically strong, & mentally unbothered. & the minute one of them admits he’s tired, hurt, insecure, lonely, or simply wants to be loved without having to perform some version of masculinity first, suddenly it’s “black men are hard to love”.

Y’all want Black men to be emotionally available but shame them when they actually show emotion. You want vulnerability until the vulnerability makes you uncomfortable. You want communication until he tells you something you don’t want to hear. Y’all are the fucking problem!!

And no, I’m not saying Black men are incapable of causing harm or that every Black man deserves a participation trophy in relationships. They are human beings. Some are toxic, some are immature, some are terrible partners, and some need to get their shit together. But this constant narrative that Black men are uniquely difficult to love is tired as hell.

A Black man wanting peace, affection, reassurance, loyalty, companionship, and somebody who genuinely likes him should not be treated like he submitted a fucking mortgage application. & honestly, some of y’all don’t actually want a good Black man, you just want the benefits of being with one.

You hoes want the protection, the money, the labor, the status, the emotional support, the fatherhood, the sacrifices, the loyalty & then have the nerve to call black men “hard to love” when he asks for something in return. Love can’t be a one way extraction process you damn jezebels.

Society has gotten entirely too comfortable treating Black men like they are supposed to endure everything silently and still show up smiling. Black men deserve to be loved as PEOPLE. They deserve softness. They deserve to be pursued. They deserve reassurance. They deserve somebody who checks on THEM. Like what’s wrong with you bitches?

Have any of you women complaining about black men every thought just maybe if I stopped treating vulnerability like weakness, some of these black men wouldn’t feel like they have to spend their entire lives emotionally hiding behind a damn fortress? Probably not ..

Black men are constantly expected to understand everybody else’s pain while nobody makes room for theirs. They are expected to be patient with everyone else’s trauma, everyone else’s moods, everyone else’s healing journey but when they have wounds of their own, they’re too “hard to love”…

Alot of women only recognize a Black man’s feelings when they become anger. Y’all ignore the exhaustion, the disappointment, the loneliness, the rejection, and the fear until it finally comes out as frustration. Then you point to the frustration as proof that he is dangerous or impossible to love.

Black men are not hard to love. Yall have simply been taught to love what Black men do while neglecting who Black men are.

You don’t see White, Asian, Hispanic, Indian, or other women publicly dragging their own men to the extent we see Black women dragging Black men, and honestly, it’s alarming. Then y’all get mad as hell when Black celebrities and athletes date outside the race, but refuse to put the personal bullshit aside long enough to ask WHY some of them might be doing it.
