Excited to share the first paper from my lab in @Nature ! We repurposed the widely used research tool, proximity labeling, to demonstrate its therapeutic potential in antigen amplification for immunotherapy using mouse tumor models and patient samples.

The devil wears PRADA and now so can cells! Our latest technology-PRADA (Peroxidase Reaction Activated by D-amino Acids) enables in vivo proximity proteomics, transcriptomics, RNA structuromics, and polymer assembly in diverse model organisms. nature.com/articles/s41589-0…
I learned so much from our wonderful collaborators @ywan_wan and @JiefuBiol. And grateful for all the hardwork by cofirst authors Jiapeng from my lab and Jian from Yue' group. Hope it will become a useful tool!

Existing RNA LLMs often have short context lengths for mRNAs, limiting full-length modeling applications. Here we present RIBOSPAN, a 1.61B foundation model with context lengths up to 10,240nt. Arxiv link: arxiv.org/abs/2608.22849. Github: github.com/GAIR-NLP/RIBOSPAN….
Building on this foundation model, we are now training with various data generated in our lab to build predictive and generative RNA tools for cancer immumotherapy applications. Please stay tuned 😀

Can we design mutations that predictably bias proteins towards desired conformational states?
Today in @ScienceMagazine, we introduce Conformational Biasing (CB), a simple and scalable computational method that uses contrastive scoring by inverse folding models to identify conformation-biasing mutations.

Prostate cancer occurs more frequently at the peripheral zone (PZ) than in transition zone (TZ) prostate, but the underlying mechanism is unclear. Study by Dr. Deyong Jia in my lab at @NatureComms provides one explanation for this clinical observation. doi.org/10.1038/s41467-022-3…
Thanks a ton to @DamonRunyon for organizing our amazing retreat! Fantastic talks from all fellows and really inspirational career advice from former alum @ValerieJHorsley. Also visited many friends and mentors at MIT Chem first time since I left 2016. See you next time Boston!
