#ThrowbackThursday to 2010, when my grandpa started his Twitter account, @TheRealNimoy. Someone had already taken the Leonard Nimoy handle, so he added "The Real" to let everyone know he was the legit guy! #LLAP 🖖

To my dearest Dad on the 11th year of your passing. I think of you everyday, and the memories I have will stay in my heart always. Love and miss you greatly. ❤️

Today marks 11 years since my Grandpa Leonard — my Poppi — left this world. What I think about most is how much he valued family. He was our support, our leader, the steady heart of our family. He and my step-grandma made sure our family of 13 spent meaningful time together..
Holidays, trips, and countless Shabbat dinners — we were always there for each other. During the height of his career in the ’60s and ’70s, work often came first. But when he became a grandfather and slowed down, he chose to be present.
He became the supportive, engaged Poppi we could always count on for time, encouragement, guidance, and love. And while our family bond hasn’t felt quite the same since he passed, I try to carry his mindset forward. Through thick and thin, family first. #Missyou #leonardnimoy

Today I learned that there’s a species of mollusk (mussel) called Ledella spocki, named in 2014 to honor Mr. Spock because its shell shape resembles pointed Vulcan ears.
Fascinating. 🖖
