A premiere, and BOGNER as first customer on stage with us.
Part 3 of our Agentic Commerce Day (A!-Day) session: Kai-Thomas Krause introduced our first squad of agents, the Catalog Intelligence team, for the first time in public. And Benjamin Messner, Director E-Commerce at BOGNER, joined him to talk about what it’s like to be one of the first brands working with it.
Why a squad, not a tool? Because getting a catalog ready for AI agents isn’t one job, it’s five. The Catalog Intelligence team covers them end-to-end:
→ Capturing the brand profile, because most brands have it in their heads, not on paper
→ Painting buying personas from an outside-in view, the way an agent actually sees you
→ Preparing the catalog so agents can read and understand it (FAQs for 10,000 products, on brand, is where humans stop scaling)
→ Publishing feeds to the LLMs, or handing clean data back to the stack you already run
→ Measuring how your brand shows up across the web and where the gaps are
Human catalogs were never built for agents. This squad makes them agent-readable, and it’s the first of many: we have around 60 agent concepts in the backlog, launching one by one with customers.
Ben’s framing was refreshingly honest: BOGNER’s customers won’t send shopping agents to the site next quarter. But answer engines already decide whether the brand shows up when someone asks for a ski jacket. So the priority is discovery and being agent-ready, now.
For a heritage brand founded in 1932, that means 3,000 new products a year, 44 countries, and a copy team where every word counts. The first version of our output wasn’t predictable or consistent enough, and BOGNER’s team sent back a 67-page document of comments. That’s exactly why we started with the most demanding brand we could find, and the next version is built on that feedback.
The goal isn’t to optimize 100 products. It’s a full season catalog without reviewing every single word.
If you’re a brand and want to be ready for this, talk to us.

An AI agent discovered our service, got a quote, and paid for it. Live on stage. In euro stablecoin.
Part 2 of our session at Agentic Commerce Day (A!-Day): Dimitri Gatowski (@dimitri_g ) and Peter Grosskopf (@peterlih), CTO of @AllUnityStable, showed what agent-to-agent payments look like in practice.
The setup: a brand owner tasks her agent (running in Claude Cowork) with trying out ShopAgentic. The agent connects to our MCP server, explores what our agents can do, triggers one, receives a quote, and pays per request in EURAU, AllUnity’s BaFin-regulated euro stablecoin, via the open x402 protocol. Settlement is instant. The price for a brand profile: five cents.
Why not just use a card? Peter put it simply: cards were built for humans. 3D Secure, extra devices, scheme fees. For sub-cent, machine-to-machine payments, stablecoins are the better rail, and x402 makes the handshake trivial.
No credit card, no checkout page, no human typing anything in.
We’re proud to be AllUnity’s pilot customer for this, and we believe this is how a growing share of B2B software and commerce will be paid for.
Part 3 next: what happened when our Catalog Intelligence agents met BOGNER’s copy team.

Der A!-Day zur jüngsten Welle von Consumer Agents excitingcommerce.de/2026/10/…
“I’m probably the most skeptical AI person in the company.”
That’s how Ivo Bronsveld opened our session at A!-Day, Agentic Commerce Day 2026 in Munich. And it’s exactly why he’s the one building ShopAgentic Agent OS. The agentic operating system for commerce companies our agents run on.
His point: the problem with AI agents isn’t that they don’t work. It’s that you don’t know what they did. So we built the platform this way:
→ Every agent is versioned, with defined inputs and outputs
→ Data is provided up front, instead of letting agents roam through systems they shouldn’t touch
→ Plain code where an LLM isn’t needed (counting last month’s refunds is not an AI task)
→ Separate evaluators check every result, not the agent grading its own homework
→ A human in the loop, and a full audit trail of what went in, what came out, and why
Trust is the feature. Everything else sits on top of it.
A big thank you to @jkrisch (Agmentic & K5 - Future Retail) and the whole A!-Day team for a brilliantly curated event, and to everyone who came to our breakout session and stayed for the conversations afterwards.
The feedback we got on the session and the presentation means a lot to our team.

Replying to @AllUnityStable
@AllUnityStable is joining us on stage at Agentic Commerce Day, October 8 in Munich.
Yesterday we shared that BOGNER presents with us in our 5 pm session. Today, partner number two: AllUnity, issuer of EURAU, the BaFin-licensed, MiCAR-compliant Euro stablecoin, is on stage with us for a live demo of agentic payments.
Here's what we'll show: An AI agent connects to ShopAgentic, picks the agent it needs from our squad, gets a price and pays for it itself. In Euros, on a regulated Euro stablecoin rail, settled on-chain, with a transaction fee of less than a cent. No card form, no human in the loop.
Behind it: the #x402 protocol (yes, HTTP 402 "Payment Required" finally has a job), AllUnity's facilitator handling verification and settlement, and ShopAgentic's agent services exposed via MCP so any AI agent can discover and use them. The same mechanics will carry over to regular purchases once agents check out for consumers and that's where it gets interesting for every merchant in the room.
On October 8, @dimitri_g, CTO of ShopAgentic, and @peterlih, CTO at AllUnity, run the demo together during the 5 pm session.
Agentic Commerce is the shift that changes who buys. If agents buy, agents have to pay and Europe needs a Euro rail built for that. Munich on October 8 is where you can see it work.

On Friday, @underdogai launched: a personal AI that runs entirely on your own device, backed by @a16z, Khosla and Anthology (Anthropic/Menlo). Its research agenda explicitly covers agentic commerce. It's the clearest signal yet that the shopping agent is becoming a private, local layer in people's lives and not a feature inside a lab's cloud.
If the agent lives on the customer's device, merchants can't rely on where it runs. They need to be legible to it, wherever it is.
Which is why this line still stuck in our head:
"The first waves changed how we shop. This one changes who is shopping."
That was the thread running through the conversation with Stefan Grasmann (@sgrasmann) on the Agentic Payments panel at CV Summit 2026 (@CV_Labs). Here's the short version of what our Co-Founder & CEO Alexander Ringsdorff (@ringsdorff) said:
Every e-commerce system was built for humans. Mobile changed the input (fingers instead of mouse), omnichannel connected store and online. Agentic commerce is the first wave where the customer itself is different: millions of agents requesting data, and only a fraction of them ever becoming a transaction.
Payments are the last stop, not the first. We're in the discovery phase. Tell a merchant today they need a wallet for stablecoin payments and it's simply not on their agenda. What they care about is visibility and how their brand is represented inside #ChatGPT, #Claude, #Gemini, #Instinct, #MUSE, #dots and AI search.
And that representation is currently poor. Scraped websites and old product feeds don't give agents enough to recommend well. Consumers end up with three options instead of a long list. So we enrich product catalogs with our Catalog Intelligence Agents Team (facts, use cases, FAQs per product) make them compliant with UCP and ACP, and push them into the LLMs so agents can interact with live merchant data.
The transaction side is arriving faster than expected. A few weeks ago the personal shopping assistants that can actually go buy something didn't exist. Now there are several, even if they still spin up a browser and click around for hours: MUSE, Instinct, dots and now Underdog (by @ConwayResearch), on-device.
How do brands feel about it? BOGNER, the heritage brand we announced as a design customer, cares deeply about being present where the customer is, with the right share of voice. Others say "LLMs are 1% of my traffic, I'll care when it's trendy." The problem: they're already missing from the conversation, which is exactly why they don't see the traffic.
Lots of education ahead. Brands and merchants aren't in our bubble yet.

BOGNER is joining us on stage at the Agentic Commerce Day (A!-Day), October 8 in Munich.
We can finally say it out loud: BOGNER is one of the first design customers of ShopAgentic, working with our first team of agents - Catalog Intelligence.
What that means in practice: BOGNER keeps the shop its team already runs. The Catalog Intelligence squad comes in alongside it ("Add agent power") and takes over the work around product data - getting it to a state where AI agents like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Instinct and Muse can understand it, describe it correctly and recommend it, with GEO handled in one workflow. Each agent in the squad owns one clearly defined job. What goes live is BOGNERS's call.
On October 8, Benjamin Messner, Director E-Commerce at BOGNER, joins us on stage during our session at 5 pm. Together we'll share what the first months looked like: how quickly the squad was up and running, what we learned along the way, and what's next.
BOGNER is among the first to make the move. We're sharing the approach so everyone in the room can follow.
Every major commerce shift changed how consumers buy. Agentic Commerce is the shift that changes who buys. If you want to see what preparing for that looks like in practice, A!-Day in Munich on October 8 is the place.

Amazon said no. Shopify said yes. PayPal too. What's your answer?
That was the question @kaithomaskrause put to the Commerce Stage at #DMEXCO 2026 this morning – and the full keynote is now online. 👇
community.dmexco.com/event/d…
The backdrop: 14 days that changed who your customer is.
On Sept 8, @Meta launched @Muse – a personal AI agent that opens a browser, fills out forms and pays with a one-time card. Within ten days it sat above @ChatGPT in the App Store. Then, on the same weekend, @Amazon blocked it and @Shopify switched every one of its stores on for it. @PayPal followed a day later. None of them asked the merchants.
Kai's four uncomfortable truths for everyone in the room:
1️⃣ Nobody wants your chatbot. Even Amazon retired Rufus. The customer brought their own agent – it talks to 200 shops at once and has no patience for yours. Stop building an agent for your customers. Start building for your customers' agent.
2️⃣ Checkout in chat flopped. Discovery didn't. Walmart's in-chat checkout converted at a third of the rate of walmart.com – but ChatGPT delivered twice the new-customer acquisition of search. The agent is a discovery channel first. Checkout follows trust.
3️⃣ The bot you're blocking is your best customer. AI-referred traffic to US retail is up 393% year over year, and it now converts 42% better than every other channel. Most WAFs and robots.txt files still answer with a 403. A 403 is a recommendation – for your competitor.
4️⃣ No AI traffic? You're not even in the conversation. Only 66% of product pages are visible to agents at all. If agents don't visit your site, you don't exist to tomorrow's buyer.
And the Europe reality check: almost none of this works in Germany yet. Muse is US-only, UCP checkout hasn't reached the EU, and questions around SCA, withdrawal rights and merchant of record are still open. But agents already research, compare and recommend in German every single day. Europe is roughly twelve months behind. That's not a reason to relax – that's your prep time.
Kai closed with five moves for Monday morning – none of them an IT project:
✅ This week: Decide your door policy. Open, curated or closed. One paragraph, one owner, board agenda.
✅ This week: Stop blocking your customer's agent. Audit robots.txt, CDN and WAF. Allow reading everywhere.
✅ This month: Your product data is the storefront. Top 50 products – turn every adjective into an attribute.
✅ This month: Measure your share of voice. 20 real buyer questions through ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
✅ This quarter: Get protocol-ready. UCP and ACP roadmap from your platform and PSP – in writing.
Amazon can afford to say no. You can't.
Full keynote in the video. Thanks to @dmexco for the stage. 🙏

Tomorrow, 10:00, Commerce Stage at @dmexco: @kaithomaskrause opens the Commerce Summit with his keynote.
Amazon said no. Shopify said yes. What's your answer?
The last 14 days changed who your customer is. On September 8, Meta launched Muse - a personal AI agent that opens a browser, fills out forms and pays. Within ten days it topped the App Store above ChatGPT. Then Amazon blocked it, and Shopify opened every one of its stores to it on the same day.
In 20 minutes, Kai unpacks what those two weeks mean for merchants:
→ Why in-chat checkout stalled while AI-driven discovery exploded
→ Why the bot you're blocking may be your best-converting customer
→ Why Europe's delay is prep time, not a reason to relax
You'll leave with a concrete Monday-morning list: the decisions and infrastructure moves that determine whether your customer's agent buys from you – or from someone else.

Kais vier Fragen an jedes Unternehmen:
Kann eine Maschine mein Angebot vollständig lesen?
Kann sie es vergleichen?
Kann sie es kaufen?
Kann sie mir vertrauen, ohne einen Menschen zu fragen?
Wer eine davon mit Nein beantwortet, hat sein Thema für diese Woche.

🎙️ Panel: "Agents That Transact: Agentic Payments"
🗣️ With Luis Schaubhut @Luis_schaubi, Chief of Staff at AllUnity @AllUnityStable - issuer of EURAU, the BaFin-licensed, MiCAR-compliant euro stablecoin - moderated by Stefan Grasmann
Digital assets and agentic AI have mostly been discussed as two separate stories. They're converging fast and payments is where they meet first. When an AI agent stops recommending and starts transacting, someone has to answer: which rails, whose euro, and under what rules?
That's the conversation we'll have on stage. Alex brings the merchant and infrastructure view: ShopAgentic builds the neutral, rail-agnostic transaction layer that lets agents buy across card networks and stablecoin rails alike. Together with AllUnity, we're building agent-initiated payments over x402 - one of the first setups of its kind in Europe.
If you're at CV Summit and thinking about what agentic commerce means for you, come find us.

Agents are learning to shop. Commerce infrastructure needs to catch up.
Meta's Muse. Instinct. A far more agentic Siri. AI agents are moving from answering questions to doing things for us - shopping included.
But look at how Muse actually works: it spins up a VM in Meta's cloud, opens a browser, and clicks through checkouts built for humans. We're building incredibly sophisticated AI and asking it to use a mouse.
That's a bridge and certainly not the destination.
Today: Agent → VM → Browser → Website → Checkout
Tomorrow: Agent → Open protocols → Merchant
Payment rails are starting to move (Muse can check out via Stripe Link). What's missing is the merchant side: clean data, reliable transaction rails, one agent-ready setup that works with any agent. Not thousands of UIs to reverse-engineer.
The ecosystem is growing fast, and consumer behavior is changing with every launch of a more capable personal agent. That makes me even more excited about what we're building at @ShopAgentic: the agentic commerce infrastructure that makes merchants agent-ready once, for any agent. Behind it: a squad of specialized AI agents, each owning one commerce job end-to-end, while merchants stay in charge of the outcome.
Web changed how we buy. Platforms changed how we buy. Mobile changed how we buy. AI agents change who buys.
That's the thesis @kaithomaskrause will bring to the UNLEASH (wirtschaftsfoerderung-hannov…) main stage next week.
For thirty years, every wave in commerce has been about the interface between a human and a store. For the first time, the human is stepping back from the checkout altogether. When an agent researches, compares, and completes the purchase, the questions brands and retailers have spent decades optimizing for, page speed, conversion funnels, mobile UX, quietly stop being the questions that matter.
Kai will walk through what's actually happening in the market right now, why this is a paradigm shift rather than an efficiency play, and what it takes for brands and merchants to stay visible and transactable when the buyer is software.

Agentic commerce changes who buys. It also changes who pays, and how.
@c_lindner is joining us as an angel investor, and we're building the euro-settled payment side together with @AllUnityStable. @ringsdorff on why those two things belong in the same announcement 👇
Before we get into a busy autumn, with events and exciting things to show: when we announced our €1.9m pre-seed round in June, we introduced an incredible group of business angels. One name we held back, until now.
@c_lindner is backing @ShopAgentic as an angel investor. Germany's former Federal Minister of Finance and chair of the G7 finance ministers in 2022, today responsible for sales and digitalization at a billion-euro company. He deals with the changes coming to commerce operationally, day to day. That is why he invested.
Every major shift in commerce so far changed how people buy. Mobile, marketplaces, omnichannel. Each one rewired the path to purchase, but a human was always the one deciding and placing the order. Agentic commerce is the first shift that changes who buys.
It used to be a hundred visitors and three of them bought. Soon it's a thousand agents and not one of them is human. Data models, systems and payment paths all will need to adapt to that. That merchant stack was built for human buyers. We're building its agentic successor: a native agentic commerce system where specialized agents set up, optimize and operate commerce. Rail- and protocol-agnostic, because nobody can credibly tell you today which protocol wins.
There's a second half to this. An agent that doesn't buy like a person won't settle like one either. Machine-to-machine transactions need a money layer built for that: instant, regulated, programmable and for Europe ideally euro-denominated.
So we're working with @AllUnityStable, the BaFin-licensed joint venture of @DWS_Group, Flow Traders and @galaxyhq, together with @peterlih who owns the partnership on their side. Specifically on agent payments via #x402, settled in euro. That standard has been driven almost entirely out of the US so far and there are very few examples of it anywhere in Europe.
Christian Lindner brings two perspectives at once. He reads how European regulation and institutions will treat this, and he sees from the inside what it takes to move a large organization through a shift like this. We build the commerce side merchants can trust. Those things need to meet somewhere.
This is the third time @kaithomaskrause and I have started a company at the founding moment of a wave. Mobile in 2011, omnichannel in 2015, agentic commerce now.
If you're at Agentic Commerce Day in Munich (linkedin.com/events/agenticc…) on October 8, we're bringing something along with @AllUnityStable that you'll be able to see for yourself. More there.
Christian Lindner joins a group that includes @Boris_Lokschin, @jkrisch, @stewenz, @SvenRittau, Dr. Andreas Schenk, @AndyLenz, @GottheilThomas, Peter McCoy, Tony DiPaolo and @wolffpeter. As well as @greenfield_cap and May Ventures. Thank you for building with us 🚀

For 30 years, e-commerce waves changed HOW people buy. Search, platforms, mobile, omnichannel. This wave is different: agentic commerce changes WHO buys.
Our co-founders @ringsdorff and @kaithomaskrause took the K5 - Future Retail NEXT_AI Stage with @jkrisch to break down what happens when the buyer is no longer a human but an agent, and which 3 measures merchants need to implement now to stay visible.
Some takeaways from the talk:
🤖 The agent is not a robot walking through your shop. It's code. It evaluates your store in a completely different way, and your conversion playbook doesn't apply to it.
📊 Visitors coming from AI assistants already convert better than classic traffic. They arrive pre-filtered, with context and strong intent. The momentum has started.
🚪 Your business now has two doors: the classic shop for humans and the agentic door for machines. Both need to be open. Clean product data, clear policies and machine-readable signals decide whether agents can find you at all.
📈 Measurement is here: Google is rolling out Gemini Insights. Think Google Analytics on steroids for agentic commerce, with actionable insights you can apply directly to your catalog.
And one message for everyone still debating the forecasts: even if agents only enable 10 % of e-commerce revenue instead of the projected 25 % by 2030, could your shop afford to lose those 10 %?
By popular request from our international community, the full talk is now available dubbed in English. 🎬
