Renting is cheaper, and will only get cheaper if rental inventory increases.
Face it, 2021-2025 was a fluke, it’s over and not coming back any time soon. You’re trying to justify these prices, but it’s unjustifiable. If you bought in the last few years, you bought at the very top of a cycle, and you screwed up. That’s how markets work. Now you get to eat the loss.
