SHINER emerged from Kansas City in 1992.
Moving across the sensibilities of post-hardcore, alternative rock, math rock, and space rock, they have continued to forge their own heavy, melodic sound for more than three decades.
From the raw urgency of their early years, to the landmark album The Egg that helped define the band, and on to their ongoing evolution with 2025’s BELIEVEYOUME, SHINER’s music has never been about simple rediscovery or nostalgia. It remains heavy, strange, and constantly moving forward.
And that long trajectory does not live only in the archives.
It is on stage — in the volume, the groove, the tension, and even the brief moments of silence charged with physical heat — that the true essence of SHINER is revealed most clearly.
What takes over the room is a groove like a tank shaking the ground, and the world carried by Allen Epley’s voice. Together, they pull deep lyricism and tension into the roar.
And please pay close attention to the powerful bands joining them in each city.

Our first attempt at recording My Bloody Valentine's "Only Shallow" happened on tour in 2003. After fixing a tape machine and a few beers, that version stayed on the shelf.
Later that year, we recorded the version you hear today at Westend Studios in KC.
