Exclusive Interview: SiFly raises $20M Series A to scale American-made long-endurance drones and build the infrastructure for the drone airports of the future.
Atoms Not Bits sees SiFly’s DronePorts as an early airport model for American drone adoption across commercial and civic markets. More than 1,500 U.S. agencies now use Drone as First Responder programs, while drones are expanding across industries like rail, utilities and agriculture. Just as airports were built to support many aircraft, SiFly’s model is built around one DronePort supporting multiple drones instead of one dock per aircraft.
@ShieldCapVC led the round, with additional investment from Qudit, BBK Capital, @alumniventures and others.
We spoke with David Mazar about the raise, future heavy-lift platforms, drones as city infrastructure and scaling SiFly’s U.S. manufacturing.
