One of the biggest traps creators fall into is believing they’ve already figured it out. Growth slows the moment you stop critiquing yourself. Every few months, I like to look back at my content and ask: Would I follow this account if I discovered it today? If the answer isn’t a confident yes, something needs to change. Too many creators let their ego or follower count convince them they’re doing enough. In reality, consistency alone isn’t the same as improvement. Posting more won’t fix weak content. Be brutally honest with yourself. Study what works, identify what doesn’t, experiment with new formats, and keep refining your craft. The creators who win long term aren’t the ones who think they’re the best, they’re the ones who never stop learning, adapting, and raising their own standards.

Crypto has a distribution problem, not an attention problem. Too much of the marketing budget flows to people whose only job is to create impressions. Campaigns end, dashboards look great, everyone celebrates… but weeks later there are barely any active users left. That’s because attention isn’t the same as adoption. The best products I’ve seen don’t grow because someone with a million followers posted a thread. They grow because real users keep coming back, give feedback, invite friends, and genuinely enjoy using the product. Somewhere along the way, the industry started rewarding visibility more than participation. Creators are often incentivized to move from one paid campaign to the next. Projects chase vanity metrics because they’re easy to present internally. Users—the people who should matter the most—are usually left with temporary incentives that disappear once the marketing budget dries up. That’s a broken growth loop. The strongest communities in crypto were never built by paid reach alone. They were built by people who spent hours testing products, finding bugs, educating others, and sticking around long after the hype faded. Reward those people. Instead of asking: “Who can get us the most impressions?” Ask: “Who actually uses our product every single day?” The second group creates compounding value. Better feedback. Better retention. Better word of mouth. Better products. If incentives are aligned, everyone wins: Users earn because they contribute. Projects grow because people genuinely care. Marketing becomes a byproduct of a great product instead of a substitute for one. Crypto doesn’t need louder marketing. It needs better incentive design.
