MEA says, "We categorically reject the anti-India references in the resolutions of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Baghdad on October 17-18, 2026. The references to India are malicious, biased, and false, and have been orchestrated by Pakistan. We are disappointed that the OIC has once again allowed itself to be misused by Pakistan for its bigoted agenda. As we have said in the past, the OIC has no locus standi whatsoever to comment on matters that are strictly internal to India. The Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are integral and inalienable parts of India. Politically motivated propaganda can never alter this reality. Over the past years since the abrogation of Art 370, Jammu & Kashmir has seen significant economic growth and benefits accruing directly to its people through infrastructure development, tourism and connectivity. This is in stark contrast to the situation in PoJK, where Pakistan has unleashed violence, repression and brutality on civilian protesters, killing scores of them, including women and children. No amount of media blackout has been able to hide these grave violations of human rights. The only issues related to Jammu and Kashmir that remain to be addressed are Pakistan vacating from areas under its illegal and forcible occupation and ceasing its continued support to cross-border terrorism. Other fabricated and hostile references against India in the OIC resolutions, including insinuations related to Islamophobia, are nothing but a desperate attempt by Pakistan to divert international attention from its own appalling record of minority persecution and sectarian violence, apart from governance failure and political instabilty. The OIC's repeated endorsement of patently malicious propaganda and narratives peddled by Pakistan raises serious questions about its credibility and integrity. We hope its members would do better and reform this organization."

Ridiculous reasons why the government has delayed pilot fatigue norms for 16 months despite a court order: 1.Flight cancellations 2.War 3.Airlines aren’t ready 4.Passengers might face inconvenience 5.The festive season is around the corner 6.The holiday season is around the corner 7.The wedding season is around the corner 8.Airlines need more time to hire pilots 9.The aviation industry is growing too fast 10.The weather is unpredictable 11.The economy cannot afford fewer flights 12.Airlines need more time to study the impact of pilots getting adequate rest 13.There is never a good time to implement rules that inconvenience airlines 14.The government is waiting for the perfect time, presumably when nobody is flying 15.Pilot fatigue is a serious issue, but apparently not serious enough to disrupt airline schedules 16.The court has ordered it, but the airlines haven’t found it convenient yet. 17. Did any opposition leader speak up for Jhota and demand police protection for him in light of his anti-drugs crusade? Today every opposition leader is making a beeline for Mansa and making statements deploring his killing but what did you do to save him?
#WATCH | Chandigarh: On the law and order situation in Punjab amid the murder of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota, SAD leader and former Punjab Minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia says, "If the shop, from where illegal drugs were being sold, had been demolished a year ago, it would have sent a clear message that the police, or the AAP, maintain a 'zero-tolerance' policy. But who granted a licensed weapon to an individual who already had four criminal cases registered against him? Who renewed his drug license? The government did. The drama that unfolded yesterday, the bulldozer action, was a response to public outrage... Take the case of Pravinder Jhota. I have said this repeatedly: he was the initial spark, but every village, every city, and every family has a similar story of suffering. There is deep-seated anger..."

The Police denial of drug angle must be independently verified.
#WATCH | Punjab: SSP Batala, Dr Mehtab Singh says, "An unfortunate incident occurred last night in Marhi Panuan village. After a dispute, one Vikramjit Singh was murdered. The dispute involved a mobile phone. Vikramjit Singh got injured with a sharp-edged weapon and he succumbed to his injuries. There is no drug angle in this matter. FIR has been registered under Section 103 BNS. The accused has been indentified and they will be arrested soon." (Video Source: SSP Batala)

We have a problem across party lines when it comes to protest and also a poorly trained, poor equipped police force that is languishing for reforms. Only the republic is poorer when the right to protest is academic rather than one that is fiercely protected.
CJP Protest In Bengaluru: No Permission Granted By Congress Govt Permission has been denied for the CJP protest in Bengaluru, where the group had planned a demonstration at Town Hall. Authorities reportedly cite Freedom Park as the designated protest site. @Anchoramitaw & @Aksharadm6 explain the reasons behind the denial.

Not done. Neither a statement nor in the client’s interest. You stay in the fight always - that’s the fiduciary duty. This is a headline and one that future clients and instructing firms will note, and not favourably.

Just as it is wrong for protesters to abuse and attack journalists, journalists heckling the leaders of a protest movement is a breach of the very same professional responsibility. Our job as reporters is to listen, ask questions and report on the story — not become active participants in it. Journalists resorting to theatre and abuse during press conferences is plain wrong and unacceptable. Report on the story. Don’t become the story.

Bangladesh’s violent protests should be no guiding light or inspiration for India’s youth. Protests need moral authority which is what India’s greatest protestor - Gandhi demonstrated. Statements like these diminish moral authority taken in whatever context. The parallel is entirely misplaced, condemnable and you have to be naive to believe that this would not be pounced upon or taken out of context and hence needs to be strongly denounced. Poor show.

My take - Protests are meant to be seen heard and make you feel uncomfortable- that’s why it’s called a protest - my issue is not why Jantar Mantar was denotified -but is the right to protest being ‘denotified’?- India is not a police state. Delhi cannot be a police capital. You have to allow dissent- 👇

As Holocuast survivor Elie Wiesel said, "The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference." Remember it when covering the antics of Godi media. Indifference works better than hate. Stopping to care at all is it takes to end the connection.

And this is exactly something I keep saying here again and again - the most disturbing part of the times we live in is how comfortable we are in attacking, insulting and hurting each other. It is perfectly possible to disagree with someone without resorting to being utterly offensive. I know a lot of people will defend it (another sign of our times), but what happened to @Vasudha156 was not fair, and deeply disturbing.

Finally, a piece on the abysmal equipment Indian soldiers are forced to fight with and the ad hocism that prevails in procuring equipment and weapons, creating a logistical nightmare. Well done @SwarajyaMag
The Indian Army has messed up the basics. Put a soldier from the 1971 war beside many of its soldiers today, and their rifles, helmets and jackets would look much the same. And the army expects them to make up for the old gear by being 'brave'. 🧵
