Since Jan 2024, 33 batters have scored at least 900 ODI runs including Babar Azam. Out of these 33 batters, only six have a strike rate lower than Babar Azam. Never understood the hype around Khawaja Nafay. First he was selected in PSL on the basis of his TikTok videos, became one of the most expensive local player in his second season, then went to the World Cup just because he could hit a six without looking at it. Pakistan is so deprived of batting talent that they have to carry bums like him who won’t even make to a half decent domestic team of any other country. These guys are models not cricketers.

Arafat Minhas should’ve come earlier than Samad and Imran Randhawa. He’s a proper middle order bat and not your pinch hitter to come at number 8. And this small cameo also ensure that he belongs to the starting 11 and not on the bench for frauds like Shadab Khan. Still early days but he has showed promise whenever he played whether it was in PSL or international. Deserves a proper run in white ball formats.
