Donor linker design was aided by Stephen’s “autoDFT” and solved a common problem in terpenoid synthesis: contrasteric glycosylation.
In this paper, 3rd year graduate student 李春雨 (Chunyu Li) synthesized 25 natural products (!!) using a method of in silico library selection. Chunyu is a new type of student in our lab, having seamlessly blended calculation and synthesis.

We report a single catalyst that quaternizes 3° radicals derived from RAEs or olefins. Very simple conditions: iron, reductant, base.
