#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE   WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3171   The Trump regime announced agreement with Saudi Arabia on nuclear program development, and shortly thereafter, Trump backtracked and stated that it would require normalizing relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel.  Saudi Arabia has repeatedly stated that there must be a clear path to establishment of a Palestinian state which Israel strongly opposes.  This is all part of what Trump has promised in the Abraham Accords.
 What exactly is this agreement?  He has called them “very respected and successful.”  They have succeeded in only one area: increasing economic partnerships between the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Israel.  None of those countries have any conflict with Israel, so it’s not come close to resolving Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
 The Abraham Accords did not require Israel to make any concessions regarding Palestinian statehood or stop specific terrorist actions like West Bank annexation and it’s unsustainable.  It’s deliberately misleading and it’s a win-win for Israel-they can invest in suppressive defensive cyber-security measures that end up crushing dissent in the region in the name of “stabilization.” 
What does drive instability is authoritarianism, occupation, and international intervention.  The bottom line for Trump is always money for himself and his “friends”, and the rest of the world be damned.  Don’t neglect to vote in 100 daysfor a better Congress to hold Trump accountable.

The Trump regime has gone to extreme lengths to deny funding-$7.5 billion in grants- to any state that voted for Harris in the last election, and has two Democrats as Senators.
 Russell Vought of the OMB, admitted that only 284 of 600 grants for clean energy have been terminated - those solely in a state that voted for Harris.  This is not rooting out waste as the administration has claimed in the past.  They’re using the budget to reward his allies and hurt his political foes.  It’s always an attempt to increase Trump‘s power and control over funding to states already approved by Congress.  Federal officials have indicated there’s little else besides politics that informed the decision, that left untouched federal grants for energy in Republican states.  This has harmed updates to electrical grids in California and Oregon, and to reduce methane leaks from oil and gas in Colorado-to name only a few examples.  They admitted that the only reason they conceded the facts about this decision was to avoid the legal process of discovery, which would have revealed even more damaging records.  This makes Department of Energy Secretary Chris Wright a liar, after his testimony in June that “..no decisions were made on politics.”  He’s just another Trump liar for hire.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3177   Do you trust the Trump regime with your personal medical information?  In April 2025, RFK Jr announced an autism registry through HHS.  Kennedy has claimed that numerous studies are currently underway to determine the cause of autism - which he is determined (some might say obsessed) to prove is caused by various bizarre reasons like Tylenol use during pregnancy or circumcision.  Kennedy recently retreated from his public statement that there’s any official registry.  So why is the small Consumer Product Safety Commission (less than 500 employees) usually responsible for tracking and issuing recalls of consumer products, instead pressuring hospital executives to share personally identifiable health data with a private contractor?
 According to KFF Health News, the Consumer Product Safety Commission has a new system as of July 21 to include broken bones, childhood vaccine reactions, and even suicide attempts with names, addresses, and more personal information to KONZA Health.  This Kansas based agency wants at least 100 hospitals by year’s end to comply with information normally protected by the Health Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
 Trump’s administration has sought unprecedented access to millions of Federal Employee’s medical records at the Office of Personnel Management, which tracks all kinds of sensitive information.  Sharona Hoffman of Case Western Reserve University, a health law ethicist, stated “The more information they have, the easier it will be to discipline or target people who are not cooperating politically.”  That this administration would use personally revealing health records to enact political arrests of immigrants, those seeking transgender or abortion care isn’t at all far-fetched, right?  Meanwhile, examining the real causes of autism, a very real issue, is underway by real scientists.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3176   According to Democracy Docket, it’s very telling that John Thune (R–SD), the Senate Majority Leader and a co-sponsor of the anti-voting measure SAVE Act, is not willing to remove the Senate filibuster in order to pass this legislation.  On Monday, Thune stated “We could stay here until Christmas, the Democrats aren’t voting for this…I’m just telling you.“  Thune does not see a way forward without the necessary votes to pass it.  Thune told reporters the Senate has voted on this subject at least five times so far.  Trump has taken to pressuring Thune by social media post, demanding he prevent the Senate from leaving town until his measure is passed.  It’s notable that Susan Collins (R-ME) has voiced her opposition to canceling the Senate’s recess to keep pushing for it to pass, even though she supports the bill.  What these Republican Senators fail to mention is that in every state, voters already have to prove they are in fact, a citizen, in order to vote.  The SAVE Act, if enacted, will disenfranchise millions of voters with more strict documentary requirements for proof of citizenship.  These documents would be a very expensive venture for some to obtain.  So many couldn’t afford getting a copy of their birth certificate or a passport, like women who have a different last name after taking their husband‘s name.

But now his reputation differs amongst Americans, unfortunately, whether you are a Republican or Democrat.  Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), and Trump are determined to tarnish his legacy.  Trump has brought division to every single aspect of American life.  Science was once respected by both parties, now it is mired in political controversy.  Is Dr Fauci perfect?  No one is. The threats to Dr. Fauci are very real.  He has to travel with private bodyguards since Trump canceled his security detail, after he has received credible death threats.
Paul, as Chair of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, has repeatedly attacked him, which besides Trump’s very real jealousy, necessitated President Biden pardoning him preemptively to protect him from just this kind of persecution by MAGA followers.  They are convinced Fauci should be imprisoned.  Paul, an ophthalmologist, is determined to prove that Fauci lied or covered up how the Pandemic began.  He also published pages from Dr Fauci’s private diary, where he remarked on his new found fame - not surprising during the fear surrounding all the deaths occurring at the time.  Trump did many irresponsible things like putting Jared Kushner in charge of personal protective gear.  (Or anything at all.)  Trump and Paul are determined to prove that somehow China is responsible for a lab accident rather than transmission from infected animal.  Republicans have no policies that will help the American people.  They just want to re-litigate the past over and over, and to make excuses for Trump’s and their own the incompetence.  #VoteBlue to put an end to this.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice       #wtpBLUE      WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3174   Benjamin Netanyahu made his 7th official White House visit Tuesday with President Trump.  To avoid scrutiny, Trump is once again claiming ignorance and the press allows it.  When asked if he supports Netanyahu‘s reelection this October, he replied: “I don’t know anything about his politics.  I’m not sure.  I would think he should be popular because he did a very good job.“  This from the American president who is merging our military with the IDF?  What?  How can any serious press accept this complete evasion?  Does anyone recall the press screaming and yelling questions at Biden during every press briefing?
 American’s weapon stockpile is diminishing to the point where some US military commanders are allowing Iranian missiles and drones to pass US defenses to preserve our supply.  Trump claimed that the reason why we had to go to war in the first place was because he didn’t want Iran to get a nuclear weapon, when we know it was because Netanyahu talked him into it.  Netanyahu has attempted to talk every US president into attacking Iran - as everyone knows, they all rejected it except Trump.
Before Netanyahu came to the White House, he made an appearance on Fox.  He stated Israeli and US intelligence services “..are working so close together that it’s not that I’m going to present new information…. because I think in many ways it’s his decision.“  So just how is it our Commander In Chief knows nothing about the current leader of Israel’s politics?  Trump also knows Saudi Arabia will never normalize relations with Israel while Israel’s continuing a genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.  Netanyahu has deliberately starved people.  There is currently an ICC warrant for his arrest.  What country will have the nerve to arrest him?  Trump is deliberately bombing civilian infrastructure in Iran.  
 Both Trump and Netanyahu are extremely unpopular and committing war crimes.  When will the press hold either of them accountable?

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   Without bothering to publish an opinion, the DC circuit court on Tuesday allowed Trump to go forward with his desperate attempts to restrict mail-in voting and only allow those states that have complied with his executive order to work with USPS & Social Security to vote.  As the dispute works its way up to the Supreme Court, the question is whether it will be resolved in time.  It’s less than 100 days until the midterm elections.  For a president who votes by mail, this seems like he’s just trying to pick his voters, so he doesn’t get impeached.  Only an extremely unpopular president would try and suppress voting, rather than expand access.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3181   67 million Americans receive Medicaid, for low income or disability.  State funds to manage Medicaid for shared costs with the Federal government are usually the largest item in the budget, close to 30%.  This includes long term care, which Medicare doesn’t cover.  41 states + D.C. contract at least part of their Medicaid program through what’s known as Managed Care Organizations (MCO’s).  These are middlemen-a function of private insurers.  November’s Governor race in Iowa will determine whether to continue private company management of the Medicaid program, or to follow Connecticut’s lead and return to a state managed program.
600,000 Iowans rely on Medicaid.
 The Iowa Republican candidate, Zach Lahn, wants to continue the status quo, stating that managed care makes Medicaid more efficient.  The Iowa Democratic candidate, Rob Sand, is in favor of returning to state management.  As the state’s auditor, he has called it a disaster, saying “The complaints have been catastrophic.”  Private companies either deny or slow payouts, in order to increase their own profits.  Commercial insurance companies require 11%-18% of a state budget for administrative cost and profits.
 In Connecticut, the administrative cost is reduced to about 3.2% to 3.8% of the total budget.  They rely on a fee-for-services model that keeps the state from overpaying for healthy patients, while allowing for higher needs patients to have coordinated care programs.  Their state database helps them stay on top of costs, and to have the ability to negotiate for drug costs and other services.  Some patients in Iowa say that it’s been difficult with MCO’s denying services for many patients, especially for Mental Healthcare or Dental Care. 
Iowa voters have a big decision to make in November.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE   WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3179   In yet another bloviating pronouncement, Trump is both claiming there is a deal between Israel and Hamas, and that he has cancelled planned attacks in Iran, “subject to being able to rapidly make a deal.”  He’s saying countries in the Middle East have asked him to halt any attacks (doubtful), and a “perimeter of a deal” has been reached to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. 
How many times has Trump flip-flopped?  That’s no strategy, unless he is deliberately manipulating the stock market.  The Israeli press has stated there will be no withdrawal from Gaza.  Israel has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians since the October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas.  Some polls show that 82% of Israelis support the forcible expulsion of Gaza’s Palestinians, and 64% believe there are “no innocents” among the Palestinians.  The hard line right wing members in the Israel government say there will be even more illegal Jewish settlements - as in the occupied West Bank - coming soon to Gaza.
 This is why Trump cannot promise any kind of deal between Israel and well, anyone.  Those in power do not want peace.  We should not be merging our military and intelligence with a country committing genocide.

Jeanine Pirro, or Katie Phang?    Pirro, as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, is responsible for prosecuting crimes.  She put herself in the position of defending a known liar, adjudicated rapist, the most powerful man in the country.  All because he lives in an alternate reality, where nothing is his fault.  Pirro has risked her reputation by falsely accusing an innocent civilian of a crime, an Olympic champion, and now has had to withdraw the false charges.
 Phang, an attorney and journalist, defends an uncovering of truth, to expose the criminal(s) responsible for the abuse of young girls, now women, who have not received proper compensation for abuse they suffered at the hands of a known pedophile.  She has risked her career to protect someone, who is innocent of blame.
She has brought a lawsuit to uncover what the DOJ has been hiding.  A judge is privately reviewing documents from the Epstein files.
 Both women will be put through tribulations at the direction of our president, because he always attacks any woman, whether she works for him or against him.
A reputation is something to be protected and treasured. Especially from the bully in the White House.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   The 2022 Inflation Reduction Act enacted by The Biden administration placed a cap on Medicare’s out of pocket expenses at $2000 for seniors.  This changed the way insurers pay for drugs beginning in 2025.  Seniors would pay less for pharmacy costs, with easier access to expensive prescription drugs.  Insurance companies were not sure at first how much this was going to cost them, or how high to set their premiums.  The Biden administration created a temporary subsidy to stabilize premiums through what’s known as “a demonstration project“.  The subsidies were set to last through 2027, but the Trump administration is ending them a year early! 
About 23 million people are enrolled in standalone Medicare part D, and will have their premiums rise.  The Trump & GOP goal is privatization with Medicare Advantage Plans and one way to do that is to make traditional Medicare more costly. #VoteBlue

The good news is that novel and innovative approaches to hive health are emerging. #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3184   It’s a witch hunt!  What exactly is a witch hunt?  The term is defined as unfair persecution of a person based on unproven accusations.  Centuries ago it started in Salem with certain women being targeted and accused of being witches.  Now, the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress are going after perceived enemies and targeting them with accusations of wrongdoing.  This week they were going after Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1984 until 2022.  He was also Chief Medical Advisor to the President during Trump’s first term 2021-2022.  In 2008, President George W. Bush awarded Fauci the Presidential Medal of Freedom.  This week, Republicans subpoenaed Fauci to testify before Congress and one senator leaked pages from Fauci’s personal journals.  Because Senator Rand Paul, chairman of the committee, had repeatedly called for Dr. Fauci to be prosecuted, Fauci repeatedly called on his 5th Amendment rights and refused to answer questions.  Sadly, this is just one example of the witch hunts deployed by the Trump administration.     Had enough? #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE   WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3183   Along party lines, Todd Blanche‘s confirmation has advanced out of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  Blanche has made a paper thin promise to terminate Trump‘s $1.8 billion IRS “weaponization“ fund and scale back the audit shield to Trump‘s entire family.  It’s an enormous windfall for the Trumps, not offered to any other taxpayers.
 Susan Collins, up for reelection in Maine, has now claimed she will not vote to confirm him.  There are two other Republicans, Lisa Murkowski and Bill Cassidy, who may not vote to approve him.  How will Fetterman, Democrat of Pennsylvania vote?  Blanche is Trump‘s personal criminal attorney.  He has no business serving as an impartial lead of the DOJ.  The written assurance about the weaponization fund can easily be reversed or renamed and reconstituted. 
 Currently there is another backlash to Blanche’s nomination, as an audio recording of him has surfaced (according to Politico) promising anti-abortion advocates he would work towards making the Dobbs decision “permanent.”  He’s also detailed plans to seek a nationwide ban on medications like Mifepristone.  This could harm abortion healthcare, even in states where abortion is still legal.  On August 5th, the State of New Mexico filed a lawsuit against the DOJ and Blanche over an independent investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch. The State alleged Blanche is actively blocking the investigation by withholding critical victim files.  We need an independent leader at the DOJ, not someone indulging Trump’s every effort to punish his perceived enemies and evade the law.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice       #wtpBLUE      WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3182   More measles cases have been reported since Trump took office than in the last 25 years combined!   How many parents with vulnerable newborns now have to worry about unvaccinated people infecting their babies?  RFK Jr, known for his anti-vaccination stance, has now FINALLY advocated children receive the measles vaccine.  This comes amid the worst outbreak in 35 years.  International Health officials are meeting later this year to determine if the US has lost its measles free status.    Reminder- Kennedy also says we should not take medical advice from him.  25 years ago measles was declared essentially eradicated in the United States.  What changed?  Vaccine skepticism pushed by Kennedy himself.  There have been 2,370 cases this year, breaking last year‘s record.  During a CNN interview with Dana Bash, Kennedy said “absolutely not“ when asked if he takes any responsibility for the increase in measles.  However, in January this year, the U.S. officially took the step of cutting the number of vaccines it recommends for every child for a half-dozen diseases.  You have to ask, what motivates him to spread disinformation?  The vaccines are effective, and he’s not a scientist.
