May 8th is a special day. To all our great @PLKingsCCHL alumni, staff, fans and volunteers, I think of you often with great appreciation. Lots has happened in 10 years but this moment remains at the top. Always a Lumber King.
Ten years ago, @SheldonKeefe and the Pembroke Lumber Kings brought a national championship to Hockey Town Canada to forge a legacy and create memories that can't ever be forgotten.
Lou was the life of league meetings that he never missed and his passion for the @TheCCHL was unmatched. Countless people benefited from that including myself. I offer my condolences to the Nistico family as well as my CCHL friends for their great loss.
Pembroke, I'll never forget. Thank you.
Sheldon Keefe’s journey to becoming the @MapleLeafs' 31st head coach began with some turbulence during his playing days.
@DavidAmber has the story of how one phone call and the town of Pembroke, ON would become a turning point for the rest of his life:

To everyone who sent me messages, I'm overwhelmed by and grateful for your support. Thank you so very much. 💙
Thank you to everyone with @PLKingsCCHL, @OHLHoundPower and @TorontoMarlies for their role in getting us to this point.
Leafs Nation, we are honoured and privileged to be a part of @MapleLeafs and I'm excited to get to work back home tomorrow. #LeafsForever

UK teams may be seen as the underdogs in European ice hockey’s top contest, but the @BelfastGiants took a huge 5-4 win against Czech side Liberec in their first ever #ChampionsHockeyLeague clash.

I’ve been in this @officialEIHL a few years now. I’ve been with @TeamGBicehockey a couple years now. I’m extremely proud of this group of players & staff. This wasn’t an easy experience. They stuck with it & prevailed. That’s special. Credit to all involved for their sacrifices. – at Slovak Republic

Choked! What an amazing team! So much heart, passion. Pete Russell deserves so much credit. #DareToDream. For perspective, this team is to 🇬🇧 what 80 was to 🇺🇸 and 72 was to 🇨🇦. This journey will fund the next gen & raise profile the game. The legacy was earned. #barmyarmy ➡️🇨🇭

Cool sight: @HockeyCrock just rolled into the press box in Denver, with suitcase, straight from the airport. He got the last-minute call to replace the ailing @BonsieTweets and will work his first NHL game here tonight.
