The very least the Premier and this Minister can do is to state their support for and take necessary steps to uphold the law of the province in the face of those who would break it without consideration of those whom they may be harming. I’m just asking them to do their job.

Responding to incidents of protests at several schools in recent days, ATA President Jason Schilling is calling upon the premier and minister of education to unequivocally assert that schools should be strictly out of bounds for protests. #abed #ableg loom.ly/nXQMU08

Teachers, students and parents deserve better leadership than this. Once again leaving things to the last minute, not like there’s been previous waves they could learn from then again exhibiting any learning is not exactly a strong suit here. Beyond disappointing and frustrating.

Colleagues, friends, and neighbours...we cannot afford to be silent. Please, review the draft documents and provide feedback. Ask the hard questions. Advocate wherever and whenever you can. The welfare of generations of learners is at stake.

Today’s release of K–12 draft curriculum kicks off an extensive and in-depth evaluation by the true curriculum experts—teachers. We're launching a comprehensive engagement project with teachers to gather feedback on the proposed curriculum: loom.ly/HB-xscg #abed #ableg

Muslims have been in Canada since 1871, Sikhs since 1897, Hindus since 1911. We are NOT newcomers. We are NOT unfamiliar. We ARE your neighbours, friends, farmers, teachers, fellow citizens. We are NOT “others”. #abed #ableg
