🛏️ Safer Sleep Week starts today! 🛏️
We’ll be sharing important tips on safe sleeping and highlighting the work we’re doing across South Yorkshire through Beds for Babies: A Safe Space to Sleep—our programme ensuring every child aged five and under has a bed of their own.
Since it started in June 2024, Beds for Babies has already supported over 1,500 children in the region.
Today, we’re sharing feedback from Lisa, an Early Help Worker in Rotherham, on the life-changing impact this project has had on a young person.

📌 Beds for Babies: southyorkshire-ca.gov.uk/bed…
ALT Quote: The young person I was working with was sleeping on a stained, old mattress on the floor and the family had one set of bedding and struggled to dry this on radiators. The young person loves his new bed and bedding and is now getting into a clean, warm bed, off the floor; meaning he gets a better night’s sleep. This has had an impact on him in school where the safeguarding officer stated: “He is looking better and more engaged in school life, he has more energy and can focus on learning.”
At Baby Basics Sheffield we have decided we will no longer be posting on X.

We have reached an amazing 460 Christmas presents so far! With special thanks to all who brought gifts to us yesterday including an amazing collection from St Andrews Psalter Lane. Can we reach 500 by next week and see Bertie place the last decoration? 🎄🎁
We have a brand new total of 300 Christmas presents!
With 1 week to go, we still need TWO HUNDRED presents to be able to give out! Can you help?

It is fantastic to be partnering with HSBC in Sheffield to have their staff using their volunteering hours with us.
They also ran a collection point for us in their offices throughout October and collected all these items so we are giving them a huge #thankyouthurs this week!
We are so grateful to be part of Lorraine's Big Baby Bank Appeal! Look out for how you can support us through donation points in Morrisons for the next 2 weeks.

We are so passionate about supporting families in the first 5 years of their child's life. In this formative stage of life, a baby’s brain can form more than 1 million new brain connections every single second!

We recently had a wonderful team from St Luke's Lodgemoor volunteering with us for a day!
They worked so hard sorting donations, packing referrals and having a great time doing it!
#thankyouthursday to all who came!
