Cooking 500 hot meals for people in need in Regent Park is always humbling. Sharing coffee with our dedicated volunteers is one of my favorite parts. I get to listen to their stories and learn from their experiences. Our volunteers are the heart of this work. They embody the values that make Canada stronger — compassion, generosity, and commitment to community. They show that when we come together to serve, our backgrounds and beliefs don’t matter — what unites us is a shared love for humanity. #canada #kindness

I knew certain time-sensitive opportunities were going to pass me by when I turned them down, but I needed to prioritize my physical and mental health. I disconnected from social media and endless scrolling, got myself a $20 flip phone, and started to live my life. Pure joy. /4

Marco Mendicino, who had originally planned to return to Toronto following his tenure as an MP and Minister, agreed to serve as my initial Chief of Staff during the intense period following the Liberal leadership race, during the federal election, and the subsequent transition to government. His support has been vital during that period.   As we prepare for the Throne Speech, I have asked Mr. Mendicino to stay into the summer in order to support the launch of the government’s mandate in Parliament and to lead the transition of the PMO on my behalf. I am grateful that he has agreed to do so.    I wish to thank Mr. Mendicino for his tireless work, commitment and dedicated service to all Canadians.
