I feel.. that a lot of people who decide to get into POC spaces. (Not saying all) but most of them do it to have it as a way of using it as a “token”.
And when I say token I mean it in the way of “oh I have (poc race) friends I can’t be r*cist. But will go to their other group and spout the most hateful bullshit around.
Most (and I’m using most because seeing it firsthand over the years) will give more shits about a animal and cry boohoo tears than their “friend” who will literally be hate crimes in front of them. Claim “oh it’s just a product of their time” don’t let it get to you. And they won’t speak up.
Look in your circle people if you’re the only poc be careful. Just because youre friends with them doesn’t mean they’re friends with you.
