Which message will resonate with voters? Jahana Hayes: 8 year incumbent, do-nothing, defund-the-police backed Democrat Chris Shea: Firefighter and Ret. Navy SEAL running to lower costs for working families.

The sad truth is that corruption is rampant in both parties. But I’m lucky to be the only candidate in this race that’s not completely owned by special interests. So when I’m in Congress, the only special interest I answer to, will be you. That’s why I’ll start on day one fighting to get dark money and foreign interference out of our politics so our leaders will work for us for a change.

More than 100 residents were evacuated, and at least two elderly women died when they were swept away by floodwaters two years ago. Where was our member of Congress? Jahana Hayes was slurping down oysters and going to pricey salons and living it up on Martha’s Vineyard, spending nearly $13,000. The people in our district who Jahana left behind were stuck with a bill for $206 million in damages to bridges, roads, businesses, and homes due to flooding, mudslides, and landslides. If you honor me with your vote and send me to represent our district in Congress, I’ll never abandon my neighbors or the call to serve. And I’ll always fight tooth and nail for the disaster relief funding our district deserves.

I’m running for Congress because I believe that it is our responsibility to steward America’s public lands and conserve beautiful places like our district. From the rolling hills to thunderous streams, we need a fighter in DC who will ensure that we can hand this land down to future generations. When I’m elected, I’ll work across party lines to: - Stop the sale of public lands to private developers - Increase funding for our national parks - Fight for an all-of-the-above approach to energy that includes clean nuclear, geothermal, wind, and solar where they make sense.

Now more than ever, we need to cut the red tape driving up costs and energy prices. And we need to bring manufacturing back home. That's why I'm proud to support the Senate's bipartisan permitting reform deal to get America building again.
