Thoughts are with our parliamentary colleague, the Member for Indi Helen Haines, following a serious incident in Wangaratta today. We are all praying for her full recovery.

To the victor go the spoils! Fantastic to welcome the @brisbanelions - including the club’s three AFL premiership cups - to Parliament today. Terrific to catch up with CEO Sam Graham and former three-peat coach and AFL legend Leigh Matthews.

Honoured to represent the Government and @stevegeorganas this week at the Parliamentary Friends of Medicines 'Australia's First Line of Healthcare' Showcase hosted by @PSA_National and CHP Australia to highlight the role of pharmacists and consumer healthcare products.

Congratulations to the Speaker of the House of Reps and my neighbour, the Member for Oxley, @MiltonDickMP on his election as President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union! He's the first Australian to be elected to this role so a huge achievement for him and for our country.

Great meeting with @SomersetRC recently to talk about key priorities for the region - including disaster funding, road, water and community infrastructure, and fire ants. It's a privilege to represent the Somerset and I will always fight for a fair share for the region.

Lovely to catch up with Dr James Doyle at the newly opened Summervale Medical clinic in Fernvale. This is a fully bulk billing GP practice, and it's great to see services like this opening in the Somerset Region, making it easier for locals to access affordable healthcare.

Recently dropped into the @Beacon_Com Baptist Church Menshed in Ipswich for a chat about federal politics and local issues, and check out their workshop. Beacon has just welcomed new Pastors Luke and Sam, who work with local charity NBHD Switch City, and will do a fantastic job.

Congratulations @BrisbaneLions on being three-peat premiers! 🏆🏆🏆 Incredible effort and self-belief. All of QLD is so proud of you. Commiserations to Fremantle on a great contest. #believe

Great to meet with @PharmGuildAus QLD today on how we're working together to deliver better health outcomes in Blair. The Albanese Government has partnered with pharmacists to support paid prac for pharmacy students, and deliver cheaper medicines and our women's health package.

Great to meet with Stepping Stone Clubhouse recently and hear about their plans to establish a presence in Ipswich. Stepping Stones supports members into education and employment and provides ongoing support. I think would make a great addition to the range of services in Blair.

Great to attend the Ipswich 60 & Better AGM to celebrate the group’s achievements for the year and look to the year ahead. The group does so much to support health and wellbeing through social activities, sport and recreation, arts and crafts, and information for members.

The Black Snake Creek Festival in Marburg is in full swing. Another glorious Ipswich Spring day.

Honoured to speak to a group of visiting Indonesian government officials in Canberra this week about Australian foreign policy and our relationship with Indonesia. Australia has no closer partner and programs like this help us to build even stronger people to people links.

Ipswich West Moreton Region Child Protection Week 2026 Gala Dinner & Awards recognised outstanding work in our community. We thank you all. Congrats to organisers & award recipients. @DanielMorcombe @ICYSinc #auspol

A fantastic morning spent at the Toogoolawah Market Day and Town Celebration. It was great to see the site of the new library and cultural centre as well. #auspol

Great to attend the Ipswich Hockey Gala Awards to celebrate the 2026 season with @IpswichCouncil Community and Sport Committee Chair Cr Jacob Madsen. Congratulations to all the award recipients! And well done to Ipswich Hockey on another successful year.

Great to present new flags to Active Kids Brassall Early Learning Centre. 🇦🇺 Today is National Flag Day, with 2026 marking 125 years since the Australian National Flag was first officially flown. It's an opportunity to learn about the history of our national flags and symbols.

Every year I sponsor the Rosewood Show School Display Award. Today I joined Margaret Offer from the Show Society to present the award to this year's winners, St Brigid’s Catholic Primary School in Rosewood. Congratulations to all the staff and students!
