The Royal Canadian Legion’s National Poppy Campaign is set to launch soon, on October 24 - a new permanent date going forward. The Legion is once again inviting Canadian Veterans to come and participate as a member of the Veterans’ Marching Contingent, as part of the 2026 National Remembrance Day Ceremony. Afterwards, there will be a Veterans Luncheon following the ceremony at the Chateau Laurier. All Veterans are welcome! (flags, hats, shirts, blankets, jewelry etc.) The reason The Royal Canadian Legion holds the trademark on the Poppy is to ensure this sacred symbol of Remembrance is used with respect and to protect it from unauthorized retailers who use the symbol inappropriately. It’s almost that time of year again! Our Poppy campaign is quickly approaching! From October 24 to November 11, millions of Canadians wear a Poppy to honour Canada’s Veterans and Remember those who sacrificed for the freedoms that we enjoy today. The Poppy is always distributed for free to all who wish to wear one. During the Poppy campaign, the Legion will gratefully accept donations to the Poppy Fund.
