Two months after leaving TMC, Yusuf Pathan secured Gujarat’s approval for the disputed land as a “gift”
The state has approved gifting him 500 sq m of a disputed municipal plot beside his Vadodara home and transferring another 478 sq m at a 45% discount to its assessed value
The entire plot was valued at around ₹20.5 crore in July. In 2024, the civic body had asked him to remove alleged encroachment from it
Civic approvals remain pending

Imagine you're on a train, passing through a dense forest. Around midnight, the mighty locomotive came to a halt, sending passengers lurching forward from their seats and suddenly about 40 armed robbers enter to rob the passengers of everything they own. That's what happened on the Maurya Express on September, 2nd 2010.
In the midst of this dire situation, Bishnu Shrestha, a 35-year-old former Gurkha soldier, initially resigned himself to giving up all his possessions. But everything changed when an 18-year-old girl was forcibly taken by robbers to be raped in front of her parents. The girl cried for help, and Bishnu knew he couldn't stay silent.
With extraordinary courage, Bishnu attacked the robbers with his "kukri," the traditional Gurkha knife he always carried. He counterattacked the robbers, killing three, wounding eight, and forcing the rest to flee.
His actions prompted the other passengers to fight back, eventually forcing the robbers back. Despite a serious injury to his left hand, Bishnu remained standing.
When the train reached the next station, the police arrested the fleeing robbers, complete with their stolen goods. Bishnu was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery.
The girl's family even offered money as a token of gratitude. But Bishnu flatly refused. He said, "Fighting the enemy on the battlefield is my duty as a soldier. Fighting evil on the train is my duty as a human being."
Salutes to the brave soldier 🫡

During the pandemic, my father passed away and our printing business was destroyed.
I had no money and no bank believed that a 23-year-old girl could do anything.
Some asked me to give gold, others asked for land, but I had nothing in my name.
Then I went to PNB Bank in Sealdah. The manager and the bank officials helped me a lot and I was able to restart my business.
Earlier, I had one computer. Now, I have two computers, a printing machine and eight people working with me.
I did not have the confidence that I could do something. Today, I have that confidence.
PM MUDRA Yojana saved my family.

A great initiative.
This will reduce the hosp. care charges substantially.
I recall, my son was in ICU at a hosp in Borivali. The final bill I was looking into details n found Gloves were used as if every 3 minutes they changed a pair of gloves to examine.
Same with sanitizer.
The most expensive part of a hospital bill may never touch the hospital at all.
A patient admitted for care has no way of knowing whether the price on a medical consumable reflects its actual cost or a markup fixed long before it ever reached the ward. That gap in information is, at its core, a public health issue.
A survey of hospital consumables in Maharashtra found an IV infusion set with a trade price of ₹11.05 carrying a printed MRP of ₹325 ; a markup of 2,841%. A syringe procured at ₹6.75 carried an MRP of ₹57.20. A catheter procured at ₹29.41 carried an MRP of ₹310.
These are not elective purchases. Patients cannot compare prices, seek alternatives, or question a number printed on a box while receiving care and the MRP itself is often fixed upstream by manufacturers and distributors, disconnected from the trade price by a wide, unexplained margin. The result is a system where the party bearing the cost has the least information to evaluate it.
The regulatory gap is structural: scheduled medicines are capped under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. Most medical devices and consumables are not leaving both the pricing and the information around it almost entirely unmonitored.
A review of these findings and clear guidelines on the permissible gap between trade procurement price and declared MRP have been recommended to the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the NPPA ; a step toward closing not just a pricing gap, but the information gap patients are left to bear alone.

⚡ What you assume is normal today in 2026 was considered impossible in 2014.
Watch this video until the end, it brilliantly explains how dramatically India has changed.
Those advocating for allowing Muslims men to join Garba, must educate themselves.
Politics apart, if they are hindu worth the salt, will understand the meaning here.
Garba is not bar or disco dancing.
It is a Shakta ritual thousands of years old. The dance floor is a sacred ground. The clay pot at the center is the Goddess herself. Every dancer's body is a vessel made to inhabit the goddess herself. This ancient ritual was practiced all across India under various names such as Bonalu, Deodhani etc with slight regional variations.
Muslims by definition are those who believe only in Allah and consider the Goddess as devil. Muslims have a record of breaking 1000s of Goddess temples and committing genocide on Goddess worshipers. Why should they be allowed anywhere enter Garba unless they disown Quran and Islam?
