While I was underwater in Lake Geneva looking for catfish, this great crested grebe unexpectedly appeared, probably looking for a fish. He was a little startled by this strange thing in the water, stopped, and then quickly disappeared.

An amusing 'once in a lifetime' shot at Cheddar reservoir at the weekend... a Cormorant surfacing after a dive came up right next to a passing Mute Swan, who jumped in surprise! 😁 They had a few angry words with each other before going their separate ways. 😀😍🐦

A couple months ago, I saw a pair of Blue-gray Gnatcatchers mobbing a Red-tailed Hawk. Not unusual. But then the female gnatcatcher LANDED on the hawk's head!
