Path of Exile designer Chris Wilson says he “desperately” wants Diablo 5 to be good.
He says Diablo 2 had a huge influence on him and eventually inspired him to create Path of Exile, while he lost interest in Diablo 3 and Diablo 4, the first look at Diablo 5 gave him some hope.
If Diablo 5 succeeds, he believes it could bring millions of new players into the action RPG genre, who might then discover games like Path of Exile.
