When you’re stranded on a float outside @GreggsOfficial at #birminghampride2021 making sad puppy eyes at the food, & the staff come to the rescue with a sausage roll! Our heroes x

I run past this tower a lot when I’m pointed that way. It’s only a few yards from the 2nd tower, on the same street — & there’s a tower view from the other side of the nearby reservoir.
Sarehole Mill for industrial history & pizza, the Shire country park, Moseley Bog & Joy’s Wood, the Two Towers (waterworks & Perrott’s Folly), Two Towers Brewery...

Son’s class learnt their human rights. I know coz I asked him to stop getting water on the floor, & was told “I have the right to play.” He has the right to be healthy & safe. & to not be stolen. Indeed, but it’s time you got out of the shower. “No. I have the right to remain.” – at Birmingham, England

Don’t know if I missed something but what exactly is it that the PM wants to get cracking on tomorrow that necessitated his TV broadcast tonight?

Talking affordable housing with Glenn Harris, CEO of @MidlandHeart, earlier today. MH deliver homes and services across the Midlands, inc Northants, to help people live independently. Some great ideas on how gov’t can help housing organisations do more! (Must fix the clock...😎)

Long & lingering journey home soundtracked by small child on freezing platform forlornly asking Daddy if ALL the trains are broken... & another small child on jampacked train whimpering to Mum that she hasn’t got space even to stand... @WestMidFailway
What total rubbish. There was an unprecedented FALL in homelessness under Labour, but since 2010 rough sleeping has doubled and homeless deaths have risen too, as a direct result of decisions the Tories have taken.
"It's Labour that was responsible for the massive rise of homelessness." Chancellor @sajidjavid claims that the previous Labour government is to blame for the UK's rise in homelessness. Labour's pledged to end rough sleeping in the #GE2019 campaign: po.st/9tXoek

Mention of communities struggling around the UK in #LeadersDebate. We need to invest in communities to bring the country together, so we’re calling for a £1bn a year Great Places Fund housing.org.uk/get-involved/… #FixTheHousingCrisis #ITVDebate

“This automated voice is pretending we’re sorry your train is delayed. Your next fastest service is due 15mins ago. Let’s say congestion, though no trains are running. Pls stand by for more bullshit. Can you believe you pay nearly £5/day for this?” @WestMidRailway @WestMidFailway

All ears to learn the Affordable Housing Commission’s preliminary conclusions. An irrefutable reminder that the grail of homeownership is not a cure for unsuitable housing; and crucially, that “affordable” is relative. #NationalHousingSummit #affordablehousing – at City of London, London

“You can’t build your way to affordability”; the country needs a housing offer as diverse as its population. More homes is good, more choice is better. #NationalHousingSummit #inclusionweek – at City of London, London

Insofar as the RSE curriculum has a moral stance, it boils down to "not everyone is like you, but don't be unpleasant to others". As far as I know, most religious and secular schools of thought would concur with that sentiment.
But that's not what they're doing. Or at least, it's not what they should be doing; it's not about standing in judgment either way. RSE covers modern society, and ignoring sections of it altogether would fail in that and set a worrying precedent over who might be omitted next.
The teachers aren't trying to dictate "right"/"moral", they're just using resources that briefly acknowledge a wide range of societal characteristics. They're not wrong to mention something exists, when it does. You have the right to share your opinion with your child at home.
