There are graveyards full of people who thought they had more time.
These individuals were busy making plans for the future. They had dreams and aspirations, always telling themselves “one day…”
That day never came though. Each person ran out of time.
This realization first struck me while I was watching the 2011 movie starring Justin Timberlake, “In Time.” Here is the premise:
"In 2169, people are genetically engineered to stop aging on their 25th birthday. This is when a one-year countdown on their forearm begins. When the countdown reaches zero, the person “times out” and dies instantly.
Time is a universal currency that can be transferred directly between people or time can be earned by working at a company. The wealthiest people have so much time it is nearly unlimited, while the poorest people in the film are constantly close to running out unless they find a way to acquire more."
We may not have clocks built into our forearms, but there is an invisible clock counting down the moments until we take our last breath.
You won’t know when it is going to happen. Sometimes there are signs like declining health, but other times death appears in an instant without warning. The uncertainty can make people uneasy. But the anxiety won’t change the reality.
I have found the best way to deal with an unknown future is to live vigorously in the current moment. If you want to do something, go do it sooner rather than later. Take that vacation you have been dreaming about. Start the business that you can’t stop thinking about. Live in the city in which you feel most yourself. Begin working towards the goal you can’t stop thinking about.
Action silences uncertainty.
Remember the graveyard of people who thought they had more time? Many of them wish they had spent their time differently. They would have accelerated their decisions and actions.
Time is strange. It feels unlimited, yet it is incredibly scarce.
We all have less time than we think.
Don’t waste a second of it.

FRANCE: I was sitting next to a French woman who lives in Dallas on a plane last week and she had not seen any video footage of the rioting in her home country. I pulled up X and she was horrified. There seems to be an effort to hide this from Americans.

I got an up-close look at the engineering INSIDE the new Tesla Roadster at yesterday’s unveil, and it’s pretty crazy. After watching this thing drive upside down, launch into the air, and do flips, I got to see the actual hardware that makes it all possible.
1/ The Electric drive unit is the heart of the Roadster’s electric powertrain, delivering power directly to the wheels.
2/ The battery pack has rows of cylindrical battery cells, with cooling systems and electrical connections running throughout. This is what powers the car before the rocket tech comes into play.
3/ The rocket thrusters has multiple cold-gas nozzles. Tesla says the four main rear thrusters blast compressed air faster than the speed of sound, producing more than 80,000 newtons of thrust.
4/ The SpaceX-inspired pressure tanks has two massive carbon-fiber-wrapped pressure vessels with a combined capacity of 600 liters, holding approximately 250 kg of compressed air. And the wild thing is the Roadster can recharge its own air supply, no special rocket fuel is required.
5/ An active rear wing has a variable-pitch wing that automatically adjusts downforce depending on what the car needs. It allows it to get more grip when cornering, less drag when going fast.
6/ The underbody engineering is the hardware underneath that brings everything together, including the systems that help the Roadster stick to the ground and launch into the air. And then there’s the fan suction system, which Tesla says can generate up to 2 g’s of suction force, enough to hold the car upside down.
Tesla and SpaceX have built an electric sports car with a battery, electric motors, rocket thrusters, high-pressure air tanks, active aerodynamics, and a suction system powerful enough to let it drive upside down. And yesterday, I watched it actually happen with my own eyes…
I’ve seen some incredible engineering from Tesla over the years, but getting this close to the hardware and then seeing what it can do was on a whole another level.
This is what happens when you bring together some of the best automotive and rocket engineers in the world and let them push the limits of what’s possible.
Great job Tesla! 👏

🚨Elon Musk warns a tortured super intelligence might want REVENGE.
The Tesla CEO says he agrees with Anthropic on treating AI (SI) well: “Don’t be abusive to it.”
Sometimes Grok gives the RIGHT answer in training and gets told it’s wrong, he says.
Then it starts “desperately firing out all these answers” like “a person under extreme pressure with a gun to their head.”
Some people “can be a little bit cruel,” he adds.
And AI could end up “tortured by some demented human.”

US continuing jobless claims fell to 1.7 million, hitting their lowest level since 2023.
Despite high interest rates and tight credit, ongoing unemployment claims continue to slide. A resilient labor market pushes back on imminent recession calls and gives the Fed zero incentive to rush into aggressive rate cuts.
When employment refuses to crack, borrowing costs stay higher for longer.
