One more day to go until we open Shade Shines on Wednesday evening with our strings performance. We have been learning our instrument all year and can’t wait for you to watch us play on stage tomorrow evening! Make sure you’ve got tickets! @shadeprimary1

Year 4 had a brilliant day at The World Museum in Liverpool! We looked at the hundreds of artefacts, asked great questions, made notes and drew observational sketches. The rain stayed away which meant we could also enjoy lunchtime outside, watching the city go by. @shadeprimary1

We have had a very scientific afternoon with the Science of Sound workshop, where we have consolidated our learning this half term. We have seen sound waves and experimented with volume and pitch. @BoffinProjects @shadeprimary1

How we spend our money... we looked today at how advertisers persuade us to buy their products and then had a go at creating an advert ourselves. 💰 @shadeprimary1

Eddie showed us his cricket trophies for Players’ Player and Managers’ Player. It is really lovely to see achievements out of school and we are all very proud of him! @shadeprimary1
We were hunting for features of newspaper reports this morning, in preparation for writing our own soon. @shadeprimary1
I asked Year 4 to draw what they thought the water cycle looked like before our lesson and then at the end of our lesson. We all agreed that we had learnt lots in that time, particularly new vocabulary and knowledge of scientific processes. @shadeprimary1
