Mikey sued Top Rank and went MIA early 2014. Loma debuted at a lower weight late 2013.

Shake off rust. Assess what you have left. Earn a mandatory shot.

It's hard to overstate how dangerous of a fight this is for a 39 year old Loma. Suarez is an undefeated top five contender with a freakishly long reach (74"), explosive speed and power, excellent counters, and elite skills from his amateur days.
🚨Vasiliy Lomachenko is in negotiations with Top Rank for a new promotional deal and will likely face WBO Super Featherweight Mandatory Charly Suarez in February as his first fight of the deal (@DanRafael1)

He later got his revenge by beating Bobby Pacquiao.
24 years ago today Manny Pacquiao knocked out Prayat Sawaingam in Round 1 to defend the IBF Super Bantamweight Title

I have to rewatch the first fight, but I definitely thought Conceicao won the rematch.

Loma gotta prove he can beat Suarez.

Prime Loma would make light work of Foster. Loma from the Kambosos fight would make light work of Foster. But current Loma is a big unknown.
🚨When Lomachenko was known as: 𝐍𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐊𝐎👑🇺🇦🐐😮‍💨 I can’t wait for Lomachenko get his hands on Foster going to make his ASS Quit🤝💯😮‍💨‼️

Through eight rounds, Foster averaged thirty-five punches thrown a round against Navarrete.
Wanna see what Foster's punch output was last night.

Nah, Haney didn't do enough. He would land an occasional shot while Loma was doing the far more consistent work.

Foster barely won a round in the first half of the rematch.

Last man to beat Foster. Arguably did it twice.

Zepeda. Much better at closing distance than Navarrete.
Who wins a fight between O'Shaquie Foster and William Zepeda?
39
If I wanted to go all hater mode on Foster, I would say this: Navarrete was really 2-3 his last five going into the fight (should have lost to Conceicao and Suarez) and Foster himself should have lost the rematch with Conceicao. So was Foster great or Navarrete terrible?

He was far from his prime when he schooled Haney and Kambosos.

Well, it was one of the only lightweight fights where he wasn't injured early or coming off an injury in his last fight.
