I'm late to the party on CYBORG OCTOPUS. Their new single '28 Songs Later' is so unique, the Saxophone (yes...I said Saxophone) is bonkers.
Threw on their album Bottom Feeder, and it's great. The clean singing infusion adds an extra layer.
New band rotation unlocked.
A blast from the past—1996, somehow 30 years ago.
I was learning Photoshop and LightWave 3D while launching a design company called Vinyl Splinter. The 3D logo on this business card took nearly 24 hours to render. Today, Midjourney could create something similar in seconds.
After 25 years as a professional designer and creative director, finding artifacts from the primordial soup of my design career feels surreal.
Listening to Incubus' "Light Grenades" and reminiscing about how the album turns 20 this year.

Some people fall in love and find quicksand"

I reached one of the strangest chapters in Jane Eyre.
Mr. Rochester disguises himself as a fortune teller.
I turned this scene into a full essay. Let me know what you think (nerd). substack.com/home/post/p-207…

When I hear Christopher Cross’ “Sailing,” I vividly remember riding in my dad’s old Jeep, speeding down a hill past a local race car track on a warm summer evening, while my brother and I sang the chorus together as loud as we could. I was 7.
My afternoon jam. Underrated and in heavy rotation back in 2006.

Just heard Castle Rat will be playing live at the next @HouseofDragon dinner bash in King's Landing.
